Help in Oklahoma!!!!

I am the owner of a truck with a company driver in it. I live in Oklahoma and would like to find a good company to work with. I prefer regional runs and hometime for my driver. Any suggestions?

Last week my pay for the week was $97.00 to the truck!!! cannot do it any more. The leasing company is getting more than me. The truck did good the 1st few weeks but now it is getting worse. The driver is gone but mainly sits for a day or two at the delivery place waiting on the next load. Is that the norm?

Does any one know any local companies that haul the Frac sand?

I don't know where you are in Ok, but around OKC there is Dale Brown, Schwartz, MTL, and a # of others. Don't know if they haul that in particular, but you could give them a call and maybe they could help you out.

Like Freebird asked. Why do you own a truck? My question is....Why would you buy a truck and not have a plan worked out before hand?

You didn't mention the type of company you want to lease to or whether you have your own trailer. I can give you a few names. Landstar, Mercer, CRST Malone, Jones, Perkins. There is a Landstar and CRST Malone agent in Tulsa, if I remember correctly. Another that is not far from you is Lone Star. Landstar, Mercer,CRST Malone and Jones all pay percentage. I don't recall whether the other two offer percentage. If you want to make more money to the truck then you need to look at a carrier who will pay percentage. You also need to find one that has good rates since you will be paid a percentage of the line haul.
