it's not your truck and never will be. a lease just permits you to buy the truck for the company. if you are really buying it, it wont be called lease purchase.

When I looked at them last year, it was a 5 year lease. That, and the fact that you pick from whatever new or used trucks they happen to have at their HQ in Sapulpa, OK at the time of your orientation was enough to turn me away.

According to the lady I spoke with, it was 5 years no matter the miles on the truck, if it was used. The facility itself looked decent, though the area around for parking was not paved if I recall correctly.

yeah, but it's kinda funny-- those last 6 payments to make and they can't find any FREIGHT for YOU! and the fine print on the lease says-- you can't go calling your own broker-- OR-- using YOUR truck around your hometown for CASH/ UNDER THE TABLE for the local DREDGE OPERATION.

NEVER make payments to the same S.O.B. that's holding all the cards and suppose to be finding you YOUR BREAD & BUTTER. The bread & butter
runs out-- right before he has to give you THE TITLE to the silverware.

Of course, this is just general advise. Christner from what I've always heard- is a very honest, Christian company.

Man...if i put in all those years of leasing and I detected they were treating me dishonestly right there at the end.... i would snap.

You got to read the Lease real close that's all. No balloon payment at the end-- has an advantage, But if it states-- no early payoff. You'd better save back some living money & money to make those last -- time stretched out payments to the very end of the lease ( just in case the freight suddenly goes missing at the end)

5 years rolls by fast-- when you're rolling to make a payment.
Might consider-- leasing from a 3rd party ( other than your Carrier) with a small down payment.

Or best yet-- if you got good credit-- just Purchase a good USED TRUCK-- find a good carrier to Lease yourself and rig too.

Wow...just got some data on a lease

    What a racket

    Basically u gonna pay 100k for a 4 yr old, 45 or 50 k truck plus closing

charges of around 10K when lease ends...(if u actually wish to keep it)

...plus all the expenses in between

So much for that dream ....Reality ate it !!!!!

    .....
