McKelvey and Henderson come to mind right away.....both are CA, AZ and NV only.

I work for IWX but we are in Kingman. Too far for your commute.

Need to learn to spell the city name correctly - "zonies" are proud people...lol

There are lots of possibilities in the Phoenix area for local and over the road. If you have experience and don't mind hard work there are several food service and grocery dist. companies. Autozone and Petsmart both have warehouses in Phoenix.
A friend worked for Safeway out of Tempe for several years, made great money bumping docks.
I spent 10 years with Mclane, started in Phoenix and eventually moved to another state, better place to raise my kids.

Good luck, Phoenix and Arizona in general can be a great place, not so much if you have children in school, but like any other large city it has its share of problems and it has its share of positives.

Bumper, Sorry, I just noticed it was the original poster that mis-spelled Phoenix...
I was just trying to get a chuckle...
Been to Kingman many times in my Mclane days, had several circle k customers...

If you want to make decent money....forget local here unless you are willing to go on a long waiting list. Got 2 years flatbed experence? If so the company I drive for out of Vegas is hiring, I think they may have some van runs to Phx, but not sure. Kevin (recruiter) could tell you more.

If you don't mind grocery, try to get on with Bashas's local grocery chain, I think their warehouse is in Chandler (a suburb of Phoenix). I know a guy that has worked for them over 20 years doing delivery and he says he wouldn't consider going elsewhere. As for Frito Lay or others with a long list, get your name on that list and work elsewhere till they call.
If you think you can or you think you can't, either way you are right!

Doesn't matter where you have been, it's where you are going in life that counts!
