    Ok, this is a survey:

If you checked in to work a 7 day week- Say Monday morning 7am( Dispatcher time) and was willing to do all you legally were able, with no bitching or whinning about MILES, load times, where the crap was going, how heavy, where you were "allowed" to fuel, delays. breakdown.......etc.

how much would you "require" Gross per Week minimum.... to be fully Happy doing the "non-union" OTR job?

For flatbed I'd say at least 1100 to 1200 for a 7-day week. Maybe 1000 for a 5-day week, which is more typical for flatbed. For van-hauling, you're going to get less...

$1000 a week is a little low what with taxes and all that would only net you around $600-$650 per week. i say around $1200, but thats just me if i'm not going to net $100 day i'll stay in bed. i can make $150+ a day in the building trade, and more than that writing code.

I have a rolling average of over $1000.00 a week net. It isn't worth doing it for less.

Depends on your location, but for someone in Arkansas I'd say about 400 gross a week would be more than enough. No electricity, no paved roads, no Schools, Shotgun weddings, all the racoons you can eat don't need much money besides how much money can you stuff in a matress before it gets lumpy anyway? :P

    $200 per day.
    7 X 200 = $1400.

    After taxes, $900 ?

Fair wages. Anything less is, well, just wrong.

That may sound like a lot to many of you, but if you figure .40 per mile X 500 = $200. $200 is a days pay. Accept nothing less.

The governor of Alabama is very disappointed that the hurricane missed them, he was hoping it would do some improvements

I have lived on as little as 400-450 a week bring home while driving OTR....

But i carry my own food and have no family to worry about.

The house is 'turned off' while i am away so it takes no money.

At Gainey I grosed...$13,000 from1/08-9/08...averaging roughly 1200 miles a week or roughly $395.00 weeky gross /or $1580 monthly...putting me on the fast track of earnings at GTS flirting with becomming part of the 20k dollar club... ...But I guess that's what happens when you are you sitting under a 700mi load with 2+ days on it and no preassgn...or the big 1200-1500 mi run with 5-6days on it and no early or split and no pre-assgn...all these miles and I still can't see why my idle was high.
