yea i know hwat you mean BIG, i was with SuperService that is owned by Gainey
Werner was straight on my dac...every check...all reimbursements...I even got my $400 perfrmnce bond back...GTS I have my worries since they were shady when employed there i fully expet them to live up to their rep upon exit.

    Default 7 day week

You should be able to get your miles in 5 to 5.5 days and if you have at least a year under your belt, you should be making over $1,000 if you are willing to work 7 days. I worked less than 5 days OTR and was home once during the week, and I made $58,000 on my last job. I didn't work the major holidays either. That was with 3 weeks paid vacation. Don't work for peanuts or be treated like crap. Tell them what you want. They aren't mind readers, but demand the respect you deserve for giving up so much of your life.

    Default OTR Driver Compensation

In response to the OP, fair compensation would look something like . .

$1576 per week . . individual companies could distinguish themselves with vacations, paid holidays, benefits, etc . .

We all have 168 hours in a week and 52 weeks per year . .

Lines 1 + 2 represent hours available to drive:

    1. 40 x $8 = 320 ($ Average minimum wage)
    2. 30 x 12 = 360

Lines 3 + 4 represent compensation for the additional hours away from home and available for mandatory rest and available to work but not driving:

    3. 70 x $8 = 560 (sleeper berth)
    4. 28 x 12 = 336

    $1576 x 52 = $81,952 base pay for OTR Drivers.

Keep in mind that all (DOT) merchant mariners and railroad workers are paid for ALL hours away from home. It's not like it's without precedent.

That's the big issue with OTR it's possible to sit for days and have weeks of very poor miles ,which means you're out on the road making no money for your time out there ...But yet the dispatchers, planners, and csm still get paid their base salary .

That's an excellent point and, while it does get hashed over on CAD every now and then, it's always worth raising. What that amounts to is the absence of an economic consequence to keep the office folk busy and honest. We have our needs and we take ourselves off the road to meet them knowing full well what the cosequences will be. The office folk need only to have a bad day or an end to their day to decide "Oh well . . " 15, 150 or 1500 Drivers, depending on the size of the fleet, didn't get planned or moved. Or paid . . but they did.

    1500+ for a 7 day week.

When i was on tugs as a deckhand i made 215 a day. Plus the company paid for all the food and you only worked 12hr a day. You also didn't have no responsibility as a deckhand on the boat. The captain or the mate had all of it. They also got paid very well to deal with the responsibility.
