    Default GROENDYKE

I think thats how you spell it. Anyways these guys are a tanker company and everytime I go to pass one I always mean to see where their from but I get to concentrating on the road or something and then I forget to look. So I'm not sure where their out of but I'd like to know if anyone has any info on these guys and where their out of, their equipment looks pretty decent and they look like their trucks do pretty fast because their always at the front of the pack, of course til I come through but anyways.
(Cyanide I'm sure you got some info on these guys)???? Thanks

I'm actually in CDL school now with a guy who used to work for them, though it was about 12 years ago. If you have have any specifics you'd like to know, tell me and I'll ask him. He seems to have enjoyed working for them from what I gather. Of course, being that it was so long ago that he worked there it is possible things have changed.

Theworldisnotenough drives for them out of one of the Oklahoma terminals. You can find him listed some where on CAD.

Groendy has been around a good long time. Their about 5X what they were in size now, compared to 1979. Have a huge terminal in Channelview TX. Main terminal and corporate HQ are in OKC.( I'z think).

Some of their terminals are L/O terminals. The people who run those terminals usually own them...to get into tanks they aligned with Groendy back in the day, then never left and groendy never bought them out.

Usually..the Macks you see are from one of the L/O terminals..Groendy is mainly ITH tractors.

Channelview pays by % of the load. The drivers I meet seem happy.

    Default I know a little

They were to be my second choice out of "orange barrel U". They offer local, regional and long haul. Mainly chem tankers, the local gigs haul gas and fuel to stations and c-stores.
They were 2nd choice up to the point I discovered they had no rider policy what so ever.
The lady that spoke to us was asked about regional, a few of the hilights: You will primarily work regional but once in awhile be sent on a long haul. Spend 3 nights in truck and they pick up 4th nite in hotel. Doubt that means those that live in them. Pays percentage, but starving hourly wages during training. No formal training period or program, just hang out at terminal till someone comes along to show you how to do something you have not been showed yet. They do require a 95% grade average or better out of cdl school.

I talk to "World" quite often.... He's doing well, and pretty happy there. He lives out there in OK....
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Sounds like a command from the director on a porn set.
