Default Another one bites the dust!

A local trucking company close to me has closed it's doors this past week. Wells Brothers, Inc. in York, PA with about 80 driver has ceased operations. I knew alot of their drivers personally and feel sorry for them and wish them luck in their search for new jobs.

Keep up the good work Mr. Bush

Was Mr. Bush the owner of the company who allowed it to fail where other's have survived and succeeded?

Is "Mr". Bush the one who let congress go on their 5 week vacation despite the high fuel prices that are causing these companies to close there doors. Is "Mr". Bush the one who won't even allow the subject of drilling offshore, or anywhere else to not be brought up for discussion? See Nancy Pelosi, Queen Democrat

I love that song, I listen to is on my ipod while my kids skate at the skate park. It really suits the show.

and another one gone and another one gone, another one bites.

I was just at an AWG warehouse on friday and it was nothing but Greatwide trucks, probably around 25 or more in OKC, and they were busy as ever it looked like to me. I see them all the time around here.

I have just one question for the Obama supporters, and I'm not trying to pick a fight, it's just a question. If you had a company or even pick a company that is in buisness now such as Exxon/Mobil, AT&T, Loves, General Foods, you get the picture. Now would you hire somebody with 143 days of experience in anything to run your company, much less the the WHOLE United States of America. That is how many days he has put in in the Senate. He has been a Senator for 3yrs but has just been actually at the Senate building for votes and such for 143 days. Before that he was a community activist or leader or whatever you call it, in Chicago. If there is something else I'm willing to listen. By the way I'm not a huge McCain fan either, but in my humble opinion, he beats the heck out of the alternative.

I am not a Obama supporter, but I found this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama

It says he was elected to the IL state senate in 1997-2004, then ran for the US Senate and won that in 2005.

So he didn't just wake up one morning and say "I think I will run for president!" LOL

We have seen a lot of other people run for office with similar backgrounds so this isn't anything new. What surprises me is that neither of the presidential candidates has any executive experience running large organizations or anything of that nature. I think this is a mark against both of them. Both McCain and Obama are pretty much policy wonks.

Again, I'm not looking for an argument, it's just a question because I really don't know. That article say's he served in the Illinois Senate. I don't know in what capacity, but I don't think that is the same thing as being elected as a "Senator" is it. I don't think he was actually elected to his current position until 2004, and it say's he didn't announce his campaign for Senator until 2003. It was "the speech" at the Democratic convention in 2004 that has put him in the position he is now. And I agree about not having any experience, for either of them, running a big company or corporation. By the way, off subject a bit. How do you make or get an Avatar picture? I'm not very computer savy. Is it one of those cut and paste type things?

Priority Transportation is shutting down over the road operations Friday per one of their drivers and Celadon is stepping to take over some of their loads.
