the operator wasn't to mad he just told me the catch basin's can only take so much runoff before they have to pump them out. which means a pain or expense for them. but like somebody told me later in the day, something in the trailer should have stopped the flow. but i'm still the one who set the meter.

LOL....The scully only works if the product is at the right speed....that is why so many racks have a step up and step down flow rate....so the scully can function properly.

If you set the meter for say 1500 gallons and the compartment only holds 1200....then the meter didn't have a chance to cut the flow rate before topping the compartment.

LOL.....If there was 100 or so gallons of retain in the compartment....the top came even faster!!!

My trailer is reversed of most of the ones in our fleet. we've had 2 guys scully out with it.
I check, double and triple check.
I forgot to hook up my vapor hose one day, and i picked the right terminal to do that at, because that would have gotten me locked out of the other 2.

it's more fun when i get to a station with 8500 gallons of gas and show 31 inches on the stick.
    me>"what I have won't fit."
Dispatcher>"they were showing 3000 when I took inventory."
mw>"well, one of us is wrong."

    Yay unplanned split load!

    UPDATE.
I have officially put in my 2 weeks with my current carrier, and I will be going over to Klemm, a subsidiary of the Kenan Advantage Group aka KAG.
For what it's worth, I submitted my app back in June, and my orientation starts on April 6. So it only took 10 months to get hired.
So, for anyone looking for a job, apparently these things can take time. Most jobs I've applied to, I've gotten in within a month.
I am pretty sure this will be my last driving job.
    Wish me luck.

Okay, first week as an official klemm driver.
For the first driving job, I dunno how i would feel.
But after working for some real cruddy companies, this is working out pretty well.
The pay varies by location, so I'm on the low-end of the scale.
I've had a mix of short and medium gas loads, and chicago ethanol. I tell you, I'm no fan of KM Argo, but the Klemm truck rides -so- much better that it's less like a cheap carnival ride and more like, well, a nice comfy drive.
    AND AN AIR RIDE TRAILER!
I have to slipseat, which sucks cuz i can't leave stuff in the truck.
    HOWEVER
I -have- to have the truck back by 5PM. No 16 hour days for me.
    So far, so good.
