How long do i have to wait to be hired w/ a record?

One of my drivers driving that fast -- adios! On the legal side, my daughter got hit at 84 in a 70 (Stl county Mo). The lawyer said at 85 he couldnt do anything, at 84 it was negotiated down to an expensive parkng ticket.

You came to the wrong place for advice. Most of these guys are whiney b*tchy idiots who come here to find someone to attack.

The two preventables are nothing. The high high dollar companies might not hire you but they arent going to hire anyone without massive experience and a perfect record anyway.

The 19 over would be a dealbreaker if it were in a cmv. But i believe you said it wasnt so there are a lot of companies that will still hire you. You might consider getting a lawyer and having him work to get it squashed. They might be able to change it to a prayer for judgement or something.

And all these guys telling you they never speed, never scratched their trucks: they're either full of it or in a 60mph truck driving 8 hours a day and whining about their $400 check (not that hard to believe actually). I've seen far far too many of you supertruckers out there with missing bumpers, caved in fenders, bent to crap dot bumpers.

Go to a company or real drivers and ask. This isnt the place.

Funny how i didnt get the memo it was NORMAL to have 2 accidents in my first years of driving?

I cant rag on ya too much though. VA got me in 2006 going 79 in a 65 and then again in 2008 pulling an oversize boat past the allowable speed the permit had,55mph. This guy even added on 3 extra MPH to make it an even 15 over. Had to get a lawyer and after $450. all he could do is get it reduced to a 9 over, still speeding. Now i gatta wait for the first one to come off in 2009 and this one i just got to come off in 2012. Sucks huh?Welcome to my world.

As far as the DAC, i dont know how far they look. I know at least 5 years. I have a failed drug test(adulterated) in 2001.

you know Mark now that i look back at my CCC Days I can remember watching you at the brewery running around always in a hurry to get in front of the next driver as not to have to wait to be unloaded. In fact i remember one day when you were heading to Eaton Park and had left your DL at the brewery security office you had to come back and get it and I ended up beating you to Eaton Park.
It is no wonder you have had two incidents you always seemed to be in a hurry, just like Stevie D, remember him, he high hooked his trailer at the brewery and lost it on his way out on Busch Blvd along with his job.
It never pays to be in a hurry. If you end up pulling fuel for a living and run around like you do with CCC it wont be long before you have a mix, a spill or worse yet an explosion.
You send me an email telling me how bad life is for you at CCC and that you want to work elsewhere in one breath, then you are telling me you are making over 50 Grand a year there and are not sure about leaving the company even though life sucks with them. However you fail to realize that i still speak with at three guys that still work there and have been working there longer then you have, they don't seem to be making 50 grand so why is it you are ????? I guess i will have to ask them why they arent making the same as you.

I have read all of your post on this board and don't remember you being so stand offish towards people when i worked with you I just remember you were always in a hurry. So that must be why you got a ticket for 19 over in you hot rod Mustang..

You will never know until you apply and see what they have to say. The 2 preventables which you said is under 500 dollars shouldnt be a problem but the 2 speeding tickets 1 for going 19mph over the limit is going to effect your chances of landing a job with one of the companies you suggested. My advice is keep your record clean and keep applying.The worst they can say is we cant take you on at this time.

Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. For any CDL holder, 20 mph (or more)
over the limit gets you suspended or rendered ineligible for hire if you're a noob like me. You
were probably given a break on the actual speed anyway, right? Can we get an honest response
here, without any name calling?

My son-in-law went through this same BS in '03 immediately after passing his CDL driving exam,
getting ticketed for 81 in a 55 in SC....nearly becoming a CDL-school "horror story" in the process.
Decker Transport wouldn't hook him up with a trainer until the matter was "resolved,"
so the judge cut him a break and reduced it to 10 mph over with a substantial fine. He was
lucky....but it DID delay the start of his trucking career by six weeks.
