Default NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION ABOUT FFE

I was terminated from a company and may be some of you might know who it is out of PA. I am going not to mentioned any names. But what happened was that they use cadecs instead of log books. I was about 13 miles from the warehouse. I logged out of the cadec before I arrived to the warehouse. So I was 13 miles away from the warehouse driving in a violation and plus lying. I know this was my fault. But in the past I had to wait a least 2 hours before somebody will come and get me and at other times they say stay there until you reset. My job was to drive to the food chains like for example wendys, panera breads etc. and unload trailers to the different stops. Enough of that I feel better got off some steam. I know there is a lot of trucking companys out there and seen the blogs on some of the companys to stay away from. But I did not see any thing on FFE. I went to there website and everything looks good there and also what the recruiter says. I like to have some feed back on the ones that worked there and what are the pros and cons.

    Thanks

    FFE is garbage.
How much experience do you have?
    Where in PA are you?
How is your record (MVR and criminal)?

If thats your only real violation, you shouldnt have THAT much trouble find a better company than FFE...Though it doesnt take much.

I'm sure any company can make themselves look good on THEIR website. Even England, Swifty, Stevens, etc.
They're sure as hell not gonna say "WE SUCK! AVOID US!" rolling across the screen. Choose wisely.

    I second what JIMPARD said.
More info is needed. Why go from local/regional(basied on what you said you did  ) to an OTR company.

So FFE is garbage. Thanks for the information. I have at least 13 years experience in driving. Perfect driving record until now with this stupid violation. No accidents. No criminal backround. I live around the reading area. Just looking for a company to work for. I also got a call from TMC flatbed recruiter. I am looking for a company that pays at least $1700.00 per week with good benifits and when I looked at FFE the numbers looked good.

    Thanks

Since you live within 150 miles of a DC, you might want to take a look at DOT foods. Seems like a good company from what I have read about them. They will get you home on the weekends and maybe route you by the house. http://www.dotfoods.com/

I'm gonna assume the $1700 was a typo..

    Anywho,
Have you heard of Carpenter Steel? I know my company hauls for them but they may have company drivers too.

!!!!!!!!!SUPPOSEDLY!!!!!!!, TMC has a local stuff running day cabs throughout PA. They, CLAIM this is a $1000/week salary type job. Ask them about that.

Knight out of Carlisle, though there are very mixed reviews about them on this site.

    Old Dominion also near Carlisle.

Pitt Ohio on Rt. 309 just south of Allentown.
And last but not least for now, I know this is a "dumb suggestion" for someone with 13 years experience, but Schneider isnt that far from you, maybe they have some type of local dedicated thing? I know they run alot of guys local out of New Stanton, PA.

These guys have been running ads recently, and are located on Rt 61 North about 10 miles above Reading.I honestly don't know too much about them,so you'd have to call to find out the specifics. Also, R&L Carriers Lebanon branch is almost always looking for drivers.

The reason why I said $1700.00 was that I received this amount for one week from a company out of Harrisburg this was the most I made there in one week, this is where I got terminated from and I know that I could do this somewhere else. But for know I could, I will go with $1100.00 a week is this a realistic number for OTR company, I hope. The reason why I want to go over the road is that I want to see the country and the different states. How about some feed back on this. A Good company and also home on weekends and pays good with benefits I guess this is asking for to much.

NFI(National Freight) out of Vineland,NJ. They have tons of dedicated and customers in your area. You could run OTR with them and still be home on weekends and seeing as to wear you are located, most likely during the week also. They have the Nestle waters account in Allentown thta is a dedicated.
    NATIONAL FREIGHT

You could also try Heartland Express. They have a terminal in Carlisle.

Not going to happen, especially as a company driver.

This coupled with your pay request should be submitted in the comedy thread on here.

Do yourself a favor don't go OTR. Especially reefer. If two hrs waiting for a ride got to you, imagine four or more hrs. Two hrs is the norm for waiting without pay in OTR.

Looks like they have an opening. What's the company name and can I use you as a reference?

As far as National Freight, and their dedicated runs from Allentown, including Nestle Waters, Run far away from that one. I have been driving for NFI for about 10 years on this account and I and 90% of the drivers are looking to get out! they are turning the trucks back to 58 mph, low rates, and they try and get you to do the runs for even less! The management sucks! They suspend you or write you up if you dont go out in ice and snow storms, believe me Im not saying this because Im trying to discourage you from NFI because its so great. Also heard from a couple drivers say that they heard an upper management type saying how NFI is doing anything they can to stay above water.
