Default Path Truck Lines closing it's doors.

Path will be closing it's doors within the next couple weeks. And yes I do have inside information. I personally spoke with their Director of Safety this week. So go ahead and blow off to me that I am spreading rumors again. I could care less. Just wait and see.

I guess Roberts (down across from the Harbor Creek TA) closed up, too.

I thought Gainey was next ? So now Path is next so Gainey must be second now. I don't know who is going to be the third one. Who's first ? This is confusing.

    Default As always

As always, we get the usual smart ass remarks. Who cares. And yes I did say how good Knight was to work for. As a matter of fact they are the BEST to work for. So what's your problem?

just curious, if you work for the best carrier there is, why were you talking to Path? and why are they still advertising for drivers?

Default Big News Path Is Closing Down??

The local Paki C-Store is going under. I guess Wal-Mart is next.
"He knew who I was, at that time, because I had a reputation as a writer. I knew he was part of the Bush dynasty. But he was nothing, he offered nothing, and he promised nothing. He had no humor. He was insignificant in every way and consequently I didn't pay much attention to him. But when he passed out in my bathtub, then I noticed him. I'd been in another room, talking to the bright people. I had to have him taken away." -on meeting George W Bush at Thompson's Super Bowl party in Houston in 1974

Feeling I don't need to explain myself....But I will anyway, I spoke with the Director of Safety because I needed a past employment verification.

I also happen to know alot of different people in the industry. So instead of always calling BS maybe you guys should listen once in a while.

You obviously have some personal issues with Marat. I think you should let it go now. By the way you never said who you are working for now :?: I am very curious on how much more successful you are since leaving Knight?

    I've thought A lot,

About this & my thoughts Are,I think maybe as Golfhobo stated in Anything & Everything in Trucking topics, the Nosiey Reefer,s post you have to take the Good with the Bad,As in Life in General & perhaps your Gainey & Path topic's are just to inform others in the Industry of what could happen is All,And nothing more.I'm originally from Utah and very familiar with the L.D.S Church & those in the Church. Mormonism is all ABOUT productivity and the members of the Church are Expected to be so Period.which the Founders of Swift & Knight are L.D.S. Which is not unnecessarily bad, I've had my experiences with Both L.D.S Folk's & Knight & I will say one thing about Knight Trans they do have there Good points AS well as there not SO Good Points. just as Ever thing in Life. As for being the Best Carrier thats Just a Matter of Opinion, As most Thing's in Life Are. What might be good for One Person is not Necessarily Good for SomeOne Else & That's Just My Opinion!

Actually I do agree with you on that post jonekatz. Although I am not a religious person and I don't see where that has anything to do with the subject. To me business is business. During my time with Knight I have never been preached to, or ever been forced to believe in any one thing.

    I think It's

A Good thing That Everybody Should agree with One Another, from Time to Time! Even John McCain & Barack O'Bama Has! LOL I'll agree with One other thing with you, Bizz is Bizz But when people are hurt for your Selfish Gain Then IT Has become Something Else! 8) :!:

Did not know that (not that it matters they are Mormons).

Often, founders of companies with sound ethical practices do well in the marketplace.

    I'm Pretty sure,

That's what I stated. As far when I mentioned Mormons being for the most part very Productive & Diligent in there endeavors. And when I say founders I mean the Originators of the bizz, Jerry Moyes started with a flatbed working around Ogden Ut. in the early 60's and expanded to working around the ports of Ca, his Father was part of the company. My family migrated from New York State to Cache Valley on the Ut, Id, State line as part of the Church's relocation. State of Utah motto is Industry, that might give you an Idea of there mind set! Try pulling a hand cart across Wyoming & see what you think? :idea:Tell me if thats Trucking

Path did go out of business. They locked their doors and emptied out the terminals last friday. The reason I know is because I work for Kennedy pulling drywall out of USG in Aliquippa and Path was our competitor there. There are no longer any Path trailers on the lot and their terminal is closed. They were a scab company that has filed bankruptcy a few times in the last 10 years so it was only a matter of time. So DollarShort is 100% correct!!!
