Recent Mercer info?

Thinking about getting back on the road. Found a nice little mom and pop O/O situation with a spare truck. They are flatbedders and are willing to take me on and lease their 2nd truck to either Mercer or a local outfit.

I did a search and most Mercer stuff was pre-latest fuel issues. I was wondering if anyone had any recent information? It is kind of up to me as to which company he decides to go with. I know the one, not Mercer. Any help is appreciated.
