Default JB Hunt Flatbed, Anyone, Anyone?

Maverick put a bad mark on my dac from 3 years ago and I just found out about it. Yes I am disputing it right now.

JB Hunt offered me a dedicated flatbed position I guess its out of Peru IL. Supposedly home on weekends and $1k a week. Anyone got info on this?

No Im not talking about Hunt Transportation associalted with Crete.

Until I get something done about my dac I am stuck with applying at placed like JB

They said quit under load, when what really happened I got a call stating my mom was in the hospital so I called my dm and he arranged for me to swap loads with a driver. He had an empty trailer and I was loaded. I told him I was just going to turn in the truck until she got better or passed on because it turned out she had terminal bone cancer.

He routed me to a terminal where I turned the truck in and then rode the bus home. My dm even offered my job back anytime I was ready but they also put not eligible for rehire.

Quit under load isn't the worst thing you can have...but it's bad enough to raise an eyebrow. However, if it happened 3 years ago, it shouldn't be an issue. If you've had a good history since then, I wouldn't limit applying to anyone. Just be up front, explain it out of the gates, and go with it. If you're waiting for it to disappear from your DAC, that takes 7 years for the work record to go away...10 for the dates of employment to purge.

Maybe you better roll w/ JB's offer then?I'd try and get what you could in writing from them concerning the dedicated part and the money.

What have you been doing for the last 3yrs???
Regardless....I would take one of the offers, If JB ,definetly get it in writing. I see very few and far between JB flats. Must be very specialized or a unique dedicated.
Roehl, from my understanding is a better company to work for, and I see alot more Roehl flats.
Like I said you probably should take one of those offers, you'd be driving and making an income...meanwhile you DAC and your "history" can begin to clear itself.

Have you driven OTR/Regional since leaving Maverick? If not that could be more of the reason for getting turned down that the quitting under load.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Id bet that here lies the problem....Ive read many post on this board about "recent OTR experience". This could be the main reason companies are turning you down. Im sure TF, Uturn and other could exand on that.

That's what it is right there. Companies are seeing that you quit under dispatch with your last OTR job, so figure that as soon as things pick back up on the local side again, you'll quit under dispatch with them. It may not be correct or even fair, but that's going to be the thought process and likely why you are being turned down.
