As far as the last thread being lock down, I don't have a problem with that either and I would like to thank the Mods for coming to the rescue. It was getting out of hand. It's still there for anyone that pulls it up on a search.

I had seen his battles with other posters and knew better, I do my best to avoid feeding the fire, but couldn't help myself.

Just like driving, you learn a little more every day (like how much I despise driving a truck in Pittsburgh, you would think a road that is shown as a truck route on the map would be free of 11'6" bridges, UGH!)

To answer the question, I locked it. I could have spent hours trying to clean up all the crap but then I would have qualified for overtime pay and they don't like to pay that around here.

I did edit out the nude picture of the lady, don't know if it was who it was alleged to be but it was over the line regardless of who it was.

Since when is posting threats towards someone "freedom of speech"? PM had done that several times and had been warned several times. Posting the picture was completely out of line as well.

All's well that ends well...one would hope. 8) No one else is getting knocked off the stoop, least of all Jim for making his freedom of speech remark. My point in saying "if you'd like to remain" was not a threat...simply a question on if you decided to stay at CAD or move on.

Personally, none of us like banning anyone around here. We'd much rather lay down the occassional warning as necessary, but would rather the populace remain intact. Phil had been warned in the past and simply took things too far this time. I'm sure he'll be back under a different user name sometime in the near future and if he does, he's welcome as long as he doesn't get out of hand again.

Twilight Flyer and Scoe....Thanks for finally taking Phil to task for some of his "comments" which were not called from much of the time. Interesting that Phil got himself finally baned from the site. I guess do unto others as you want done unto you. If I remember correctly he use to run the Roehldriver.com web site even though he was a Crete driver. I never really knew what I said but I made someone on that website mad at one point in time and I was permentantly baned from the web site even though I was a Roehl driver at the time with no explaination except that I was not wanted any longer on that website.

It's an unmoderated forum...primarily retired old-timers disgusted with the state of the industry today. They talk a lot of politics, too. Most of them are decent, if crusty old codgers, but that forum can be brutal to "starry-eyed newbies."
