thanks karnajj, ok for a long overdue update cant hardly remember everything that happend so gonna give a short summery. All week last week we ran a dedicated route my trainer was asked to do this because a guy was hurt and they needed someone to fill in. Was all night running usualy leaving between 10 and 12 and running and getting back the next morning around 10 or 12. It was definately something that takes getting use to but all in all wasnt too bad. It was all hazmat so i got some good experiance in that area for the future. Things are still going well i tested out yesterday and was a little nervous about that. Although i have alot of confidance i was still a little nervous. Did well though and passed everything no problem. Firts you had to take a written 126 question test. Then you have to do a pre plan using the shortest route not fastest but shortest. I got a 94 on the 126 question test and a 90 on the preplan. missed a couple scales on the preplan..............anyway then out to the safety inspection and on to the road test. The road test went pretty well other than one left turn i made a little too wide because the road was cut but while i was crossing a highway and i made it like a regular left hand turn..........then i missed a sign (trucks use left lane) it was posted immediately after entering the highway in a construction zone. But all in all i didnt do anything stupid and passed. So i was assigned a truck and spent the day getting everything set up in it and looking forward to taking my first load tomorrow. I know that now is when i will start to realy find out what this company is all about and dont get me wrong i have already seen some of the negative but where isnt there any of that. And from most of the drivers i talk to they all seem to be pretty happy with TA. So that is promising. I even talked to a guy in the shop today that was having problems with his truck and it is his second truck and he has only been there 3 months and he seems pretty happy with TA mainly because he says he is getting the miles that was promised him, which is why we are all out there anyway to make money. I look forward to updating after i am on my owne. Till then drive safe.
