I actually tried that, but all of the phone numbers they give us dead-end rather quickly.

I imagine the CEO on a beach in the Bahamas: "The economy is heating up? Fire one thousand."

Honestly, if they'll take care of the truck, I'll handle the rest. I drove flatbeds in Iraq; no one is shooting at me here. Life is easy if the truck doesn't burst into flames.

The miles are good and they haven't even asked me to go into NYC.

Will I be with USAT a year from now? Probably not. If KBR doesn't take me back, there are two smaller local companies that might hire me.

All I ask is a safe truck - and if USA won't provide that, someone else will.

Yeah,I hate to hear all the heartache drivers are going thru with these companies out here but its really most outfits these days.
But remember even if you drop that truck in Van Buren,Ar. they are going to find a way to get that $500.00 from you so kiss your last check goog bye!
And out of spite they'll most likely put that you abandond the truck even if you follow they're rules.
So dont be afraid to have a laywer call and threaten a suit if you can it may cost you a few bucks depending but its what it takes to keep your dac clean .or if you cant do the lawyer thing,Get a police report in writing aswell this is" writen proof" that you dropped it at one of their secured yard etc...fax it to them aswell and just state that you are ready with a lawyer if they decide to put something untruthful on your DAC,Unfortunatly thats the way one have to play these days.
Yeah I also agree on what you said about truck service being behind a month for PM's.I think looking back on all of it,I have to laugh.
Every guy I spoke to there hated the company,I even ran into a guy who drove for them for 17 years. They cut off his fuel card just because he was passing thru the house and didnt tell them.
I think 17 years is crazy anywhere, but I guess some people are gluton for punishment.
Good luck, I hope your escape plan is successful.

    Hey Sick.
On second thought. You might consider giving USA a break here. In regards to the "hotties" in recruiting luring you in..............In the end you did get screwed.................May not have been in the position you preferred, and it probably hurt a little more than you had expected. But, truth be told, you did get screwed. I think we need to lighten up on USA a little here. Just because our interperetation of "screwed" doesn't match theirs doesn't make 'em all bad.

Back at ya Mack. The only sad part is. The starry eyed folks who come around doubting these lines and thinking that we are just being facetious. Unfortunately, statistically many will pay a pretty high price for that doubt. :?

I have been working for them awhile now, and I can say that they are good at shorting you on your miles! I have heard their excuses also. I will give them some credit, I get the miles, well some of it, ,but if you have an empty call for a load on their 3rd shift hours, dispatching leaves you sitting 4-6 hrs burning up your time, which I could be moving! I can't really complain, but I haven't had problems the other drivers are complaining like hell about. My fleet manager is pretty good, and when he is in, things keep rolling and I get good long hauls. I'll hang in there until something better comes along or bolt if it gets worse. As far as driving into the lake, they haven't pushed me over that edge yet
