Out fracking standing! some insider info-- just what I needed--considering I'm back home for the evening-- seems the sly fox that's loading this is gonna run by the house( Texarkana ) area before running 2 hours up to Benton then Back home-- can't blame him a bit-- the dispatch was just not as quickly forthcoming with his message about not being to the relay until 8am tomorrow morning.

Are you currently driving for Shaffer?

Are you currently picking that one up?

I asked about Friday Nite Unload and Saturday Unload-- they sayed-- no go.

Yeah, I've loaded Bulk Chocolate- Bloomer Chocolate close by there-- going to California too. They sure are working hard on cutting the deadhead down-- but I suspect they'll want to employ me on a short overnighter Sunday evening.

Thanks again for the Intel.....

On the upside, scheduling an A service at NK could get you three or four days off. Joy!

I'm pretty sure I speak for us all when I say I'd like to hear why.

Colin,
My reason for leaving Shaffer is a personal one,i made a good living for my family with them and as with any company there were problems.I could never say anything bad about them either on the CB or a public BB.They gave me the opportunity to succeed and unfortunately it was time to move on.I am not new at this profession as i have a total of 30+ years in a truck.Sometimes it's better to move on with things in life and not let it get to be a disappointment waiting to happen.

actually was looking at Knoxville(n route)

guess I'll have Thursday & Friday to "communicate" with all the parties involved and see how I want to play it. The last thing I want to do is run all the way to Consignee and end up setting on their lot for Friday nite & Saturday- unless I hear it from the "horses mouth" they will take me late Friday early Saturday-- but that might still leave me setting all weekend(lately that's the weekend norm)

WEEK#17

Friday, April 25th- Friday, May 2nd

Well, home for 6 out of 8 days-

904 miles ran Thursday & Friday

Could have do more-- but was "pacing" myself-- i.e. too lazy

Found out from the "horses mouth" that Friday morning would have been the latest chance to unload before Sunday Noon. So, there's no point to rushing up there any faster than needed...

and tonight (Friday) is BattleStar Galactica-- TV night for me.

Today, my windshield wiper-- finally fell off- just as I was nearing a rest area( thankfully ) so I ducked into the rest area and waited 45 minutes for the storm to blow over-- then made my way into the Petro and replaced it-- $16.45 for a Wiper Blade...

tomorrow I'll ease on up the road to Frystown-- then run on into the consignee early Sunday( that's right... I said early sunday--- instead of at 11am JIT for that "hypotheoretical" Maybe unload you at Noon time--- really not wanting to have too much time left of that 14hr clock when empty Sunday---- they would probably want me to use that time on something VERY SHORT yet take up most of (or all) Monday.

I think I remember sending in a Monday 6am PTA anyway-- but that won't stop weekend/night crew from Pimping me out( If I have hours available)
