    Default Interstate Dis. Com

Yall probably remember reading that i was intrested in driving team for May trucking. Now, i ran across this company (IDC) and it seem as if there team package is much much better. Can anyone tell me any recent info on this company? I did a search but everything is old...

I can tell you things I learned on the phone, but it was regarding a system solo driver.

    You are required to chain.

They are an all 48 states company.

They start solos with 1 yr of exp at .32 cpm max .38
They claim 2500 avg miles per week (solo).

    Forced dispatch

A male recruiter told me they don't really go to the NE, the female who did my second interview said "yes, yes we do."

OTR is 7 days out, earn 1 off.

They usually only hire within 100 miles of their nearest terminal.

    They fuel at flying J.

There are no bonuses except for recruiting for company drivers.

They drive 06/07/08 freightliners and volvos, autoshifts, 68mph. Depending on its age, it may have a generator. Most have inverters installed, or you can have them installed.

A passport is required to enter canada and if you wish to run canada and do not yet have a passport, they will reimburse you for it. (she did not say part or percent)

They do not have EZPASS, which pays the tolls.

They only have PREPASS which is for the scalehouses.

They haul all types of freight, including deliveries to small stores in strip malls, beer, newspapers.

The female interviewer said they are strict on logs (paper).

Youre welcome. Thats a HELL of alot more info than I could get when I asked.

My husband and I drove team for them and we thought they were a great company. Reason we no longer run for them is hubby messed up on his logs and got fired, so yes they are very strict on their logs! They have paper logs but since a year ago also accepted Driver's Daily Log unless they changed that again. As far as I can remember we did have an EZ-pass on the truck but they might have stopped with that too then. We drove for them until May 2007. We had a lot of weeks with less than 3500 miles and that was on the dry box side. I know their reefer division is even worse.
The people are very nice though and so are most of the terminals. I thought the trucks were OK, but teams only get the Freightliners; Volvos are for the solo drivers.
If there is anything else you'd like to know just let me know!

For an experienced driver you must have one verifiable complete year, or more, with an interstate trucking company.
