Default WAL-MART ~ North West Texas

Anyone know of any Wal-Mart dist. centers around the Wichita Falls Texas area?

I'm moving back to Texas next month, thinking on finding a good local driving job around the Wichita Falls area.

Say whaaaat? Good, and local job dont go together around here. :P
We dont have a Wal-Mart DC around here. I'd say the nearest would be around Gainesville, or that area..

Besides the LTL carriers, the good stuff is hard to find. I will keep my eyes open.

Well I see you are currently calling Wichita Falls home, how is the over all job market up there for CDL drivers?

Surely the oil companies aound must be hiring.. Do you know of any of the towing companies there in Wichita Falls that do "HEAVY" towing & recovery?

Or let me put it like this, do you know of any that have a good reputation, I was thinking about looking at Big Daddys towing there in Wichita Falls but I called and talked to my dad about them and he said Big Daddys has a pretty shady history, and not very well respected by anyone in the area, he said he wasn't sure about any of the other ones.

I am for sure going back to Iowa Park to live, so I'm looking for a paycheck somewhere in the Wichita Falls area.

Like would it be possable to live in Wichita Falls area and still drive for Wal-mart out of plainview or do you know?

No thanks, I don't care to get anywhere even close to the big city life, I'm a small town country boy.

I know driving a truck I will have to visit them purty often, but as far as living in or near them goes.. There just aint no way..

Yeah, there are some good oil companies around the area. Lots of oil field work.

    There are some wrecker services.
Stay away from Big Daddys. They are flakey. Their drivers arent all there. :P

Yeah, I dont know a lot about the big man, but I have heard from everyone I know that the company is goofy.

I have seen their drivers, and I have seen kids in cars drive better than some of them.

I currently live in Stanley NC it's in Gaston County, I'm leaving for Texas next month, just trying to get something set up before I go.

I guess if you have to live within 100 miles of a dc to be considered for wally world it looks like I'm out of luck.

    Yeah.
No insurance, nothing. $10. an hour, and you work 23 hours a day.

    Actually, it's an outlaw company.

That's all I needed to know.. So basicly there is nothing in Wichita Falls unless I want to drive a water truck for an oil company.. Is that pretty much it?

ever think of contacing WalMart and asking what thier qualifications are?

Or are you just gonna take some random internet persons word for it?

My Dad drives for WalMart and he lives more than 100 miles from his DC.
