actions. Watch your 'Actions,' they become habits. Watch your 'Habits,' they

thank you could you give me some info
Bigish, go to the forum index, there you will find the right place to ask your question, I don't have a clue, but what is the weekly pay vs. mileage? whats the difference? should be easy to figure out !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you asked at pumpkindriver.com? BOL
what is this account?
i worked a salaried account for about a year. it was cake, but the pay was below average. i was home most nights and weekeds tho, so it was a tradeoff.
so it'll be a guaranteed paycheck, but extra work won't pay more, and the bonus will be a pittance.
Im on a dedicated account with schneider that pays salary. The only way to make it work to your advantage is to work less hours a day. I work about 9 hrs a day which comes out to 17 bux an hr. Im home everynight an i have weekends off, so i dont mind the pay for right now. Been here for a year and half an im still happy. If i get bored an decide to work the weekend i have the chance to earn more.
Would you mind letting us know what dedicated account your on? I'm looking at Scheider also.... was thinking the Intermodal here in So. Cal.
Im on the local Ross account here in S Cal. Truckrail pays more, but you have to slipseat and work more hours plus if theres no freight you dont get paid, its all activity based pay.
How long have you worked for Schnieder? My husband started out solo from Aug to Jan. He was going to quit due to live load, live unloads, waiting on loads etc... He had had enough. His TL told him to take a few days and think about it. He looked for someone wanting to team and got lucky to find someone who lives close to us in Michigan. So he has been teaming since January.
His year of OTR is up in August. He would love to get something local if possible . How long did it take you to get dedicated/local is what I am trying to get to in a long winded way![]()
dedicated is all about location, location, location. if you live in the right lane, you should have a lot of options.
if you live in the boonies, don't hold your breath.
if Schneider is paying the bills, I -highly- recommend staying with them rather than jumping ship for a slightly bigger check.
with 2 years and a clean record, you will have a lot more to pick from
I called with 5 months experience an went straight onto the account. Ive been here for a year and a half this month. We also have a ross account that goes to kent, WA an back with weekends off, but that just pays cpm. We have only had 13 drivers at most on this local account and 5 of us have been on it for over a year. You have better luck getting on truckrail. All the local positions out of Fontana that i know of are GM, Ford, Polly one, Wal-Mart, Ross, Truckrail and 6 guys that load and deliver relays for teams. All have different pay scales and hours.
SNI isnt any different from any other company sitting and waiting for a load...or having to sit and wait for live load/unload.
Everything I need to know about driving a truck I learned from watching "DUEL"
Unless your on a dedicated account the time sitting is very short. All trailers are pre loaded and then you have your back hauls that take around 2 hrs to load and your pre planed a day ahead. I do 2 drop an hooks an a 2 stop live load mon-fri with weekends off. Its around 8-10 hrs a day which isnt to bad of a gig for collecting experience before moving on to somewhere better.
That about sums it up.Originally Posted by Phreddo
