    Default new jack needs help

Hello to everyone. I am new to trucking. I only have 3 mths exp. and thats otr but with a friend who owns 2 trucks here locally. I enjoy driving but not making enough money so would like some help from more exp. drivers. what are some good starter companies for someone with 3 mths. I have been contacted by several Swift,JB, US Xpress,Trans AM,Arrow(f/b) but everything I read here and the other boards is so negitive. I know every company has good/bad but in your honest opinion what is the best starter company. Any opinions are appreciated, thanks.

I would go with JB Hunt. I drove for them for 3 months last winter, I didn't stay because I was layed off and waiting to get called back to my local job. If I had to go back OTR I would go back to work for them. If you want to get home every weekend you probably won't like them. If you want an easy job and make decent money and home time isn't that big of a deal, you would probably like JB. 3 weeks out seemed to be the right amount of time to stay out to get good miles. I had a nice truck with decent miles. The loads where pretty good, most were 500-800 miles with decent pick up times.

it might be harder finding a job living that far south. were you an OTR driver running all 48 or just driving locally in GA??? your experience might/will limit your hunt for a OTR job.

what kind of trailer did you pull?

I have a friend that lives where you do and he drives for JBH doing a dedicated run from there. He is home every other night and usually every weekend. Give Hunt a call.
Find something you like to do, be the best at it you can be, the money will come.
