Yeah, I am thankful for all the men, and women who has served our country.

Ya know, I dont know why I just thought of this, but I saw something on TV a while back that said, a third of homeless Americans are veterans. Sad.

Thanks to each and every person who has served or is serving.Without you, this country is not what it is today, the greatest place to live in the world.

Thanks to all who have served this country with distinction. We should all find a way to make this country better. These Vets risked everything to serve this nation. They deserve our thanks and support.

    DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to The "United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

On behalf of the "millions of Veterans" who are still living... Thank You for your kind thoughts and for remembering all of us today!!

Today, for me, is a day to remember and think about all of my "Fallen Brothers in Arms" who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country and its people...to preserve our country and its way of life.

For me...it was a distinct privilege and pleasure to serve my country for 10 years of active duty, to include two and half years in Vietnam. I was but one of millions who served then....but yet it was still a privilege to serve.

As the day, weeks, months, and years pass...we, the living, should always remember those who have gone before us.......especially those that did make the "Ultimate Sacrifice"....because without them and the survivors... we would not have what we have today.

To all my Brothers and Sisters in Arms.... THANK YOU!!
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Remember: The "truth WILL set you free"! If it doesn't "set you free"....."it will trap you in the cesspool of your own design".

They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.

    GMAN,

Thank you!!! I did serve, just not in combat. I did so with pride and honor, but I never thought of myself as a "veteran".

Thank you for remembering those of us who were standing at the ready, but were never called.

Along with Ridge Runner, thanks, GMAN.

I have an idea that a lot of people here in America has forgotten the definition of a Veteran.

My grandpa served during WWII. My brother-in-law is currently serving in the Air Force.

My cousin's ex-husband served in Iraq. It's sad how their marriage ended up, but he still served our country.

I also would like to give my sincerest gratitude to ALL VETERANS and anybody involved with the service. The sacrifices that each of you have done, and continue to do, needs to be commended. As I was at the family BBQ yesterday, I thought about how trivial my problems are, compared to other people that presently or previously have served; immensely TRIVIAL. In my semi-short life of 39 I have, at times, forgot how LUCKY I AM to live in such a great country as I DO. When I am confronted with such bravery and the absolute sacrifices SO many Americans have GIVEN it puts my troubles to light..... I honestly do not have ANY. All I have to do is take a deep breath to know how TRULY FORTUNATE I AM! Just to be able and live and breathe in this GREAT COUNYTRY should be all anybody could want, but as times have, it is SOMETIMES forgotten; MYSELF INCLUDED. These are the reminders I need to put IT back into perspective. In life, you can be certain of challeges and obstacles, but failure is an OPTION. NO WORDS are available to the veterans that can give back as what you gave myself and others, but THANK YOU, and I am in AWE. :!:

Me as well, a great big thank you to ALL VETERANS, i am very proud of all of you. I would not be saying this if it were not to you who have served.
In all thy ways, acknowledge him.
