    Default USA Truck

:? Hello. I am new to this site. I have be reading many of the pages this week looking for answers. I would be gratefull for advice. I am researching the posibility of becoming a truck driver. I have been considering USA Truck; it works the best for me as far as school, training and pay goes. I have not seen any negetive comments regarding them. So, let be direct and ask. Are there any reasons I should steer clear of USA Truck? What are the positives of USA Truck?

Thank you for your input and helpfull guidence in advance.

My uncle drives for them, last time I talked he was still getting constant miles, (2500 to 3000 per week). The only down side is he doesn't like is the mid roof tractors, only teams and trainers get condo's. Other than that he has no complaints.

There are a few here who will complain about the equipment. Yes, it is bare boned, nothing special Internationals. Just like every other Company truck. Yes they do have jake brakes, and cruise control, which for some reason everyone thinks they don't spec there trucks with them.

Its a good place to start, get some experience. If you like the outfit, stay, if you don't, move on after a year.

Well said MADLUX, Great training program, some complain about truck speed but as a beginner no need for speed. well recognized training program. Great people over at USA Truck

Before you start banging the drums for USA....you might want to use the search function here on this site. See what "pops".

When I was a "Finisher" for CFI....one of my students had quit USA after about 10 days of being with a trainer there. He had little or nothing good to say about them. He was not a wuss... I worked him and trained him. He took it all in stride, learned everything I taught him and could explain it back to me. He was an excellent student, and is still driving today...over a year later, as far as I know.
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Remember: The "truth WILL set you free"! If it doesn't "set you free"....."it will trap you in the cesspool of your own design".

They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.
