A guy that drives for Superior has a very informative thread going on here. Look for the title of "Tanker Info For Y'All", they are some really good people posting on there and will be able to answer any question you have about tankers.
I'm looking into tankers also and there is a lady that works for Carry Transit, which is a food grade tanker company, and she has answered some questions about them.
Hope that helps you.
Probably your best bet would be to get with Cyanide about Aartman.... 8) I really don't think on the overall you would be happy with some of the others. 8)Originally Posted by sooundman11568
Where are you living now? If you are in AL....maybe the Carry terminal down towards Mobile might be a good deal?

thanks GRANDPAW i try calling cyanide and see what he has to say.LOL i also pulled of of the ca. board
I am returning to Aartman next week, drove for them locally then went OTR for them earlier this year... now since they have been bought out by Ruan they now require at least 1 year of OTR exp. All the hiring is done through Ruan. If you are near a Aartman terminal I would talk to the terminal Mgr there first and have them submit your application that way, otherwise you can fill out an appliation on the Ruan site... if you search for the Aartman site it will direct you to the Ruan site now. I enjoyed working for them, hence I'm returning to them, you will get good miles and not be rushed to make your drops or loads... they pay pratical miles and when I checked their routing/miles to my GPS for the best route it was always within a few miles. They use Trip Pac and you are paid every two weeks. I will update ya on the particulars if you want after I get back on board in case some things have changed.
I thought so...but I guess I had a "brain fart"....uh, I mean a "senior moment". 8) 8) What about going back there?Originally Posted by sooundman11568
