    Default Darn Recruiters

I have been driving for 2.5 years now and have worked for a few large and a few small companies. I have found that one problem is the fact that I live in Southern Utah so for some reason it is a problem to route me home. I have heard several recruiter "promises" and most have not been true. I have no drug/alcohol issues and my MVR is perfect.

I want to know if there is a company out there that offers the following:

    1. 11,000+ constant miles per month solo
    2. Mid-west to west coast (no east, or at least very little)
    3. 2005 or newer equipment
    4. .34 min. cpm
    5. Reasonable cost for family medical
    6. Home every 7 days or sooner (through the house OK)

I am really tired of switching companies and want to find a "home". I am thinking about Pride out of SLC, however I am beginning to think I just need to find a different career.

    Try www.hillbros.com or www.transportdesigninc.com . Both reputable companies .

Have you looked at Gordon? I am surprised you would have a tough time getting home. Do you live along I-15? If so that's a pretty major traffic lane.

    Thats what i been gathering
Once you pass the 2 year mark (and have a good safety record)
you can go just about anywhere you like.
If you have less than 2 yrs you are at the mercy of these drivers mills.
Both of those companies you posted look pretty interesting.

    Have you talked to Knight.

Run the regions you want to run. Get home when you want to get home. Get at least 10,000 miles per month, though 12,000 is very possible....or the equivalent in pay (very easy to get detention and local pay when needed).

AVG age of trucks is 2.5 years. Dry van mostly run Volvo 670.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

I know England has a place in SLC, but I know nothing about them as a company.

I would be willing to bet an "Internet Dollar" that they would promise him the world.....then send him to the NE and run him in circles for a month or two  If anyone has doubts about "England" just click the "Search" button at the top of the page and use them as the "searchword".....and start reading
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.

Just substitute "Amway" everytime you read England and you will get the picture.

What about Andrus Transportation there in St. George? Also, you may want to consider TruLine out of Las Vegas. As mentioned, both Gordon and Interstate may be good bets for ya, both are primarily Western regional carriers.
    It came to pass...

Wanted to take a minute to say thanks for those of you who replied. I am going to try Pride out of SLC. They are not too big, and not too small among other positive things for me. Thanks again.

Not an off-spring. One of the sons started Pride with no ties to CR, so it is owned by the same family however there is a huge difference in how the company is run. There is really no comparison between Pride and CR England. Pride imho is the much better company of the two.

I heard the two companies won't even acknowledge one another because their pride gets in the way!

There is an internet business too called Quixstar, has anyone ran into that crap?? Same pyramid scheme... Sorry, we have got off topic but it still seems relavant..

Recruiters, well they are probably just doing their job. At least you would think that they would want to represent the company as truthfully and accurately as possible.. Unfortunately, some dont..

I live in Bullhead City and a Trueline truck parks across the street from our RV park almost every friday nite and is gone early monday morning.

he mostly has rock stones on the truck, landscaping stuff from up north.

I have yet to run into the driver though.
