Use the search feature right below the pic of the truck cab up above.Type in Maverick and sit back and have at it. You'll get tons of pertinent info. Also, I believe that Arky from here, among others drive for them. All seem to be pretty happy with them.

Because you are not "Hired" yet. You still have to pass orientation, DOT Physical, Drug Screen and if you are a newbie, training. Approved just means that you get to come to orientation.

Well, more than likely, you will go out with a trainer for a specified period of time. How much time just depends on the company. Most companies want OTR experience within a 3 yr period to be considered a experienced driver.

I have had companies call me left and right after my app.hit the line and done alot of research on all of them. Ido believe that Maverick is by far the best of choices. I was told that my oreintation would be from a sun - thur, after that go out with a trainer for up to 6 weeks. is that realistic the 6 weeks?

That's about the industry average. Maverick is a real good company from what I have heard. I personally have never worked for them, but know several who have and liked them.

I do appreiate the feedback about maverick. I can understand the agility and physical aspect of the requirements and dont see a problem with either of them, the company that I am with now we have a yearly that we have to do with cause of the type of work it is (minning). I just have a hard time leaving a paying job to go to a after orientation a formal hire.

    Default Maverick

Good Luck jloutbac, I am presently employed (not in the industry) however my Company is going through a transistion right now and unknown what my fait might be. From everything I have read about Maverick that will be the direction I will head in if I become unemployed.

Where are you going to be based out of? I was looking to work out of Laurinburg,NC with the Glass Division. Keep us posted on your progression through their system.

As you will see reading all the Maverick drivers postings on here, they all sound like a great group of guys and nothing but positive things to say about Maverick.
