i seen a Conway Tractor pullin a CFI Trailer on friday,i think it goin west on I-40 first one of the combo i have witnessed since the merger deal

I haven't noticed any changes in my routine. I am glad I am with a bigger, more diversified company that can take advantage of many types of frieght. If frieght from the southern border slows down, my company should be able to keep me busy.

Conway was actually the purchaser! They had an official announcement on Dave Nemo's show on XM. Not a bad deal if you ask me, sounded like a wise merger, and with CFI's frieght base south of the border, the should do just fine.

If you go back one step further its was the $280M (In 1981 Dollars) from the sale of Freightliner to Mercedes that funded the start up of Con-Way.

(Some Con-Way driver used to broadcast this at about a thousand watts every other night on the Grapevine up until the mid Nineties)...used to laugh my ass off.....Hi Ian, love Incline Village.....can't wait until it snows on 80/395 and I can stay home....or maybe I'll drive by the chain controls and giggle uncontrollably...Of course, I'll be the guy in the dark green 4WD Tundra.....on my way to the casino....
