I totally agree with you and SD on the poor ethics and bathing suit attire 110% ..it's just the way SD stated it all in call caps initially in his closing remarks to a public forum, and not the individual. Thats all im saying. Well, im outta here..gotta go buy a bathing suit for my interview tomorrow. Maybe Cluggy will show up with some mint jelly.

I know several people that worked for Praxair/Linde hauling liquid hydrogen and bulk oxygen, nitrogen and argon. WAS a good job right up until the former Union Carbide/Linde Division/Air Seperation Group now known as "Praxair" summarily FIRED all of it's company drivers on the west coast in 1994. Contracted out to Jack B. Kelley at a LOT less in wages and bennies....I guess they needed the money after they killed all those people (25,000) in Bhopal, India in 1989. And of course, they had to get it out of the drivers, never the executives.....

NOW PAY ATTENTION...IM GOING TO SAY IT AGAIN FOR YOU SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEANT. YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO REMIND ANYONE IN ANY INDUSTRY THAT IF YOU ARE GOING TO AN INTERVIEW FOR A HIGH PAYING JOB TO DRESS PROFESSIONALLY.
AGAIN...I wasnt commenting on truck drivers in general.

Sheesh......Are you dating cluggy or something?
Well that statement makes me feel kinda special. It also proves your an idiot. Someone doesn't like your tone towards your posts, and all of a sudden, they are my best buddy?

How about this? Maybe they don't like you either. Or at least, what you have to say.

And one more thing. No-one here beleives anyone would show up to a interview in a bathing suit. Just another lie. Instead, just tell the people and the other farm animals the truth for a change. The guy didn't get hired, and you don't know why.

Or better yet, keep on lying. Like I said, your post speaks louder than I ever could about you, and the company you represent.

Anyone with a high school education knows to wear proper clothing for a job interview. If someone showed up wearing a bathing suit for a interview, he doesn't deserve to work for McDonald's as far as I'm concerned.
Come on now, do you really beleive that a guy needing a job would show up to a interview in a bathing suit? It's a lie, told by a guy who really thinks that the drivers on this board are stupid enough to believe it. The guy he sent didn't get hired, and he doesn't know why. But instead of posting that, lets make that guy look stupid by telling everybody that he showed up in a bathing suit.

You better go get a shovel if your going to start buying the crap sheepdancer will give you....discounts available when you purchase by the ton.

Nope cluggy, that is exactly what happened. There was more to the story, he was actually wearing a bathing suit and flip flops. And he was also an hour late for the interview.
For the record, we always know the reason drivers we recruit arent hired, whether it be for JB or an outside company.
Again, I never said its just drivers who do this sort of thing. In my life ive condcuted many interviews in many different types of jobs. And Ive seen people show up wearing very strange things.

AGB....If you want to know how Praxair will respond to you, go to one of their terminals in your area. Just because all you see in your area is day-cabs, does not mean they don't have sleeper units. Most of the sleeper units are on on the road, doing what they are supposed to be doing..which is longhaul. You can also stop by Air products Company or even Air Liquide, or...as your name suggest's..you can go by AirGas, and see what they have to offer.

I dont see anywhere in my post where I said everyone, Skippy.
Im sure more drivers when going for an interview for an 80k+ year job would dress professionally. He didnt, and lost out.
I don't see where showing up cleanly dressed and well groomed for a job like that would be a problem. Anyone who researches a company like that and probably 99% of the chemical tanker companies would have to know that these companies are a bit pickier than most freight companies in general.

If I was interviewing someone for any job other than "lifeguard" or "cabana-boy"....I wouldn't hire someone showing up in a bathing suit either.
