    Default D.M. Bowman

Any useful information on D.M. Bowman? The info I found is pretty outdated (2005).

I interviewed with them, they offered .34 cpm plus bonus cpm for meeting certain criteria, you pick up an empty trailer in indy take it out here in greenfield p/u loaded wal mart then they have 5 or 6 different routes they have a day and night shift the kicker for me was they dont want you to exceed 63 mph[part of the aforementioned bonus]
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

What areas do you prefer to run? Where do you live? How often do you want to be home? How much money do you need to make?

Called a recruiter. Verified that you are home every night working out of the Indy terminal. He said that they had a new guy make in the $40's last year but $35k first year is more realistic.

Might not be a bad place to start and gain some experience. They aren't hiring trainees at the moment because all of their trainers are training newbs. I won't be done with SAGE until early to mid October.

Just called them again and talked to a different recruiter. He said they probably won't be hiring new grads for the rest of the year because the turnover has been so low.

I can't PM you, but I work for DMB and can see what they have. They are looking to expand in the INDY market. Whom did you speak with in recruiting?? To be honest they might not have the right info. I run the shorthual division in Williamsport,MD and they offer to hire me TEAMS now and then....IT gets crazy around here.

I'm not sure who I spoke with. I think the first guy was Dick? The second guy I don't know.

I'm really only interested in local. Who knows, they may be hiring again when I graduate driving school.

I started with DMB as a student right out of school. I also started in shorthaul here in Williamsport. Good place to work, never worry about my check. If you are motivated you can make your 42k here. Might have to work a weekend once in a while, but you will still be home everynight. If they are not hiring in Indy for shorthaul, you can probably do Linehaul, or regional work, until a position opens. That would still get you home every week. Every Monday a list of open positions is posted. I would say 10-15 of my drivers came here from linehaul, some got transfered during or right at the end of training. If you show up work hard and are safe, I would say at most 3-6mths and you could be off linehaul to shorthaul. I will make some inquire's tomorrow. My terminal Manager is also the Van Team leader, which means he is over all the Van terminals in the fleet. If anyone would know what thier might be, he would. Shorthaul does have very low turnover, mainly because we offer home every night, with pay that is in most case's equal or better than linehual. That and predictable runs. If you have any questions let me know I will do my best to find out anything I can. Good luck!
