    Default Maverick or FFE

I got accepted by both for their CDL school. Any suggestions on which would be better?

One is flatbed, the other is reefer/general merchandise. I've done the latter and am headed to Melton Aug. 6 to try my hand at flatbed since I'm tired of grocery warehouses/lumpers.

    Default ?

I would also take my chances with flatbed rather than yank a reefer

Maverick. They pay much better than FFE. Better reputation too.

Maverick is top notch. FFE is a bottom feeder.

Are you willing to die to take them away from me?

That's exactly what I've heard; my BIL drove for them for a short time; they had a unique way of "losing his Trip Reports", which resulted in rather low paychecks.

From what I've heard, Maverick is a much better outfit.

I have to agree. With Maverick, you will get home weekly. With FFE, you will get home alteast once a month, or so. :P

I've only been with Maverick Specialized a couple of months, but from what I've seen they are there for you no matter how late at night or anytime during the weekend. They pay well, and keep you busy.
Go with Maverick, you'll be happy flatbeddin'.

I agee with TinBinder. I just finished my 3 weeks with a trainer. Should be getting my truck this week. I am very satisfied with the choice I made to go to Maverick. They sent me to truck driving school also. They are always there for their drivers.
    Thanks everyone
    Jimmy

I am with Maverick and it is by far the best company I have ever been with. This is my 5th company not including the Army since the 80's. I am in the US div.

    Don't know anything about Maverick.

FFE on the other hand....RUN. Disorganized. Paychecks always short, contantly calling payroll and straightening things out. They "lose" paperwork and on and on and on.
    Give me a kiss
