Default Question for the long time veterans

Has the profession of truck driving become more difficult , or was it more difficult when you started out?

A little of both. Used to be when you needed directions or broke down you had to pull over and find something called a PAYPHONE. With cell phones, gps, Quallcom and the other electronic gadgets it does seem better. I forgot satellite radio. Gone are the days of switching from one fm station to another only to go another 20 miles down the road and lose the signal. The rules have gotten tougher. No idleing. Everybody wants a toll paid. Just in time freight. The trucks are more comfortable now then they were. Guys with the conestoga wagon are traping in 10 minutes, in any weather. I am rambling. That is just what I could think of off hand.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.
