Is this the only company you looked into? If so, I would research some other options. You never know what is out there until you really dig into it. You may find something else a better fit for you. I am not trying to discourage you from Covanant. I never worked for them so I am not going to tell you don't go there.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.

    Default Any Comments on Covenant????

I had a rollover in September 2003 and have either contacted or have been contacted by almost all the trucking companies in the last 10 months. Covenant has been the most recent and at this point I need to get back out on the road. Their policy on rollovers and prior experience seem to fit my needs. I just wanted some feedback from the drivers are with them now or have been in the past.. I'm thinking about going back in September after my kids get back to school.
    Thanks Brother Truckers 8)

Well, they are a good "Christian" company!!

    Default Any Comments on Covenant??/

Well, I'm glad there are a few drivers that are happy with Covenant.
I'm gonna go there for a refresher early September, and go from there.
Also for the guy who ????rollover policy. If you're the unfortunate one who has a rollover, you'll probably be put out of the saddle for at least 3 years. I've been out for almost 4.

What driver gave you any notion that they are happy with Covenant? I didn't see any. Be prepared to get screwed if you go with them.

Are you willing to die to take them away from me?

    Default My opinion

Stay away from any company that hides behind religion. They will screw you and then ask you for forgiveness.

I think BuffaloKid has already made up his mind and nothing that we say will persuade him otherwise.

Me, I would rather drive rusty railroad spikes through the tops of my feet than work for that family..... For those of you in the "dark"..... The people that own USX and Covenenant are one family.
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Remember: The "truth WILL set you free"! If it doesn't "set you free"....."it will trap you in the cesspool of your own design".

They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.

US Xpress is a publicly held company traded on Nasdaq(XPRSA).

Pat Quinn and Max Fuller (Co-founders and Co-CEO's of US Xpress) are taking the company private.

Covenant sucks, many of their drivers complain to me about them. One just today called and had nothing good to say about them.

So? Who are the major "shareholders"? Go look.

    So's Covenant....publicly traded: http://www.secinfo.com/duP7p.68.htm

    Here's US Xpress: http://ir.usxpress.com/releasedetail...leaseID=250670

And if you go following the paper trail you can find interesting things out:

    http://www.eyefortransport.com/index...s=56528&ch=180

Its a big family that runs the companies...they are related.

    Here's USX's subsidiaries: http://www.secinfo.com/dS5Ts.v7.c.htm#1stPage

Not too long ago, there was an article I believe in one of the industry publications that linked the two principals as being family.
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Saying that USX is better than Covenant is like saying that the Plague is better than Ebola because you stand a better chance of surviving the Plague.
