Gee Rev, I didn't realize you were so easily entertained! Most normal people require a little variety in their lives. Cluggy's tired rant doesn't provide it. I guess you are one of those people who laugh at the same joke no matter how many times it's been told because hey, if it was funny the first time it must be just as funny the 100th time. First, thanks to all of those who supported me, and my right to bash. But you know, I don't think I'll just leave just yet.
To the rest of you who thinks I just bash on JB Hunt, I do it for a reason. They deserve it. And there isn't a damm thing you can say to tell me otherwise.
I said this once, and I'll say it again. If you don't like my post, go read something else. Or bite my *****, and state you opinions. I don't care. Because to you, I'll always be a basher of JB, and you can defend them all you want. My family went thru hard times during my employment that I had with them, and it went away after I left them, and got a real job that provided a paycheck. So my bashing of JB will never end. If you don't like it, blow it out your *****. I'm trying to help those who don't know any better. And i don't give a ***** about you, or what you think.
For all of you new people just reading my post about JB Hunt, there is a lot of info that is sadly no longer available on this board. So a couple of tips for you.
1. Make JB Hunt your last choice, when no others are available.
2. If you must work for JB Hunt, try to get on a account of some kind. Do not go OTR.
3. If you can't do the first two, make sure your finances are in order before you to go. You don't make ***** when starting out, and if you don't have at least the first 6 months covered, your going to have problems.
4. The first 10-20 % of your miles have already been shaved. Get use to this, they do this to win contract/bids on jobs. Another words, if the job pays 500 miles, be prepared to travel 550-600 miles for that pay. Some jobs don't go that far out of variance, others (if not most) will every time.
5. Be prepared to do a lot of 200-300 mile jobs if you go OTR. Try to get two jobs at a time when the first one is below 300 miles. Your dispatcher can do this, if they want to.
Good luck for you newbies. Thanks to those who supported me. As for the rest....well......

You know, some people never learn. Take this thread, for example.

When he first ask about JB Hunt, he stated that I didn't need to reply. I was too negative, a JB Hunt basher, called by some.
Amazing what happens when you actually go to work for them.
I don't feel sorry for closed minded people....sooner or later, they will learn.
Deja moo. It's when you feel you have heard this BS before.
Crusader Cluggy, out to save the world from the evil despot known as JB Hunt. Forget the fact that there are thousands of happy JB drivers out here, they are all anomalies. Nobody can succeed there, it's just not possible.Originally Posted by Cluggy619

And of course, you would know, being such a successful JB Hunt driver. JB Hunt sucks.Originally Posted by Karnajj
BTW, here is yet, another ad from JB Hunt found on craigslist. JB Hunt sucks!
Again, no listing about what company the ad is from. This was explained by Sheepdancer in a earlier post, so I won't harp on that. So I call David. And we talked about what all is involved, the true payments (including insurance, qualcomm, etc.), and of course that you have to lease the truck with their company. At the end, I finally dragged it out of him that he works for JB Hunt. Go figured. By the way the conversation went, you would think he was trying to hide that little detail.
