He will get a 1099 for CRE, but not for the flatbed company in the middle. 1099-Misc's are not issued for less than $600 because the company is not required to report under that amount.
The funny thing from my standpoint, is that quite a few of you are saying exactly the same thing, but yet arguing.

Crete may have agreed to take you on as a trainee but there is no way in hell they are going to put you in a truck solo right off the bat. You'll probably ride with a trainer for at least 4 weeks.

Are you willing to die to take them away from me?

That's if BB can put a name on a face. He might never know who Spencerian really is.

He should be able to put 2+2=4 when he sees his employment history on his application......

I applied a few weeks ago. Hello... I am STILL at TransAm.

So to answer you Ridge Runner... none.

    And Jumbo, wrong too.

The first part of the year I was a Lease Op for CRE. So no W2.
I worked flatbed for a week. I won't get a W2 because I made less than $600 for the week. Now I work at TransAm, and will get a W2.

So that makes ONE W2 so far this year.

I do LOVE it how you guys think you know and post without really knowing.
So we are in the second week of July and you looking to go to your fourth company of this year. I am SO glad that I don't KNOW as much as you do.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.

Good point....but anything is possible. I think though that he may have trouble going anywhere...technically he's had what....4 jobs in less than a year? If thats the case, he's virtually trapped at TA. But if CFI or Crete were to take him, they more than likely would require him to go out with a trainer/finisher for a few weeks for evaluation, etc.

This is the last post I will grace this board with.

    Now you can all applaude.

To all the dumbasses that think I have had 4 jobs this year, you obviously have some problems with math. CRE in October last year to Feb this year. Flatbed for a week, and TransAm.

That makes 3 by my count.

But what does it matter? When someone comes in here for advice or if they have trouble many of you just insult them, or belittle them.

I will not be FORCED to run illegal, stay out 4 weeks at a time, or sit for 4 days without a load. If recruiters, dispatchers, and company owners CARED about employees trucking would be great. All we get as new guys is lies, low pay, and ridicule from (some) people on this forum.
My credibility on this forum is Zero

I'm not sure everyone will applaud. I think its sad that you are throwing in the towel. At this point you are on the verge of becoming an asset to the forums. I hate to tell you this, but you are not as unique as you might think. You certainly aren't the first driver who ever changed jobs several times in one year, especially the first year.

To all the dumbasses that think I have had 4 jobs this year, you obviously have some problems with math. CRE in October last year to Feb this year. Flatbed for a week, and TransAm.

    I apologize for my error.

But what does it matter? When someone comes in here for advice or if they have trouble many of you just insult them, or belittle them.
I'm sorry if you feel that way, but you have to consider that this is an internet forum.... a polite set of words that really mean "electronic free-for-all'. Some of us really did try to give you guidance based on the benefit of our experience and knowledge. You took umbrage to it.

I will not be FORCED to run illegal, stay out 4 weeks at a time, or sit for 4 days without a load. If recruiters, dispatchers, and company owners CARED about employees trucking would be great. All we get as new guys is lies, low pay, and ridicule from (some) people on this forum.
Nor will I run illegal, or sit for 4 days without a load. Well, nowadays I might...but only because I would get paid $425.80 to do so. But I understand your point and agree. And you are right about the nonsense that companies hand to neophytes. The pay is lower than experienced drivers, but then you are intelligent enough to know that being paid as the new guy is not going to equal the pay of the more experienced. I don't care what industry you work in....thats how it is. Legal, Medical, Sales, you name it. Its the way of the world.

I think that the ridicule you endured was significant, but lets face it, and be men about this.....you asked, you got answers....and you chose to fly in the face of those answers. And then you came back and reported the failures. Brave for sure, but you repeated the past. And it seemed that you were poised to almost become redundant about it.

I sincerely hope that you, stop and take a deep breath....several, then regroup your thoughts....and rationally consider all that has transpired since you first decided to get a CDL.....then think cautiously and long about where you want the future to go for you. One can do well in this industry..... But by the same token, one has to use their full mental capacities to achieve their goals. Failure to do so...leads to financial ruin, dire mediocrity and unhappiness, personal and family.

I wish you the very best, now and in the future.
