I'm sure there is but you might not like working for them. How long ago was your conviction? If it was over 10 yrs then it's no sweat. If it was sooner you could still work for a company. The big ones hire a lot of people who's records aren't perfect. As long as it wasn't a felony. If you work for a yr or two at a big company and keep your record good then you'll have more options. Just start calling people and like I told the other guy go to that companies school, not a private one.

They will most likely want to know if it was a DUI reduced to reckless op.

These companies aren't very good but if you can drive careful and stick it out with them you can move to something better

    Covenant Transport . 866-609-3620
    Schneider National (SNI Recruiting). 1-800-44-PRIDE
    Heartland Express . 1-800-441-4953
    CRST Van Expedited . 1-800-929-2778
    Stevens Transport . 1-800-333-8595

These companies are Ok. Prime will hire almost anyone if they agree to Lease purchase. Celadon will charge you for any accidents and not offer that much support for newbies but I hear they are ok for people who can drive. Gainy I heard was ok and I just threw Barr-nunn and Knight up there. I don't really know nothing about them but they have LOTS of trucks.

    Celadon Trucking Services . 1-888-847-8364
    Prime inc . 800 224 4585
    Barr-Nunn Transportation . 1-888-999-7576
Gainey Transportation Services (IL, IN, KY, MI, OH). 1-800-326-8889(these guys are pretty good I hear, and they may consider you b/c you are in their area)
Knight Transportation Midwest (Knight Transportation Midwest). 1-888-346-4639

So there's a list to start making calls. I would see which companies will put you in their own school and offer the best deal.

Oh I forgot Swift! I don't have their number off hand but they are a good company to start off with. They don't pay much but they give you good training and kind of look after newbies to keep them out of trouble. I've heard that anyway. So call them too.

You might also try Werner. They don't pay worth a darn but it will get your foot in the door.

I work for SNI as well.........and they wont. Reckless is about as popular as a DUI these days.
BTW I run out of the Memphis OC.

You right about this case because it is recent. SNI wont accept him.

However if you have a reckless over 5 yrs old SNI will work with you. But that doesnt really help the thread starter.

I am on the Ohio Walmart account BTW 8)

Well, they won't take this poster. He said his occured in Feb 2006. I think he's going to have a hard time finding a decent driving job with a reckless charge that's a year and a half old.
Check out the new 2008 Microsoft Streets and Trips! Sweet!

Methinks you are going to have to wait about another 18 mos. until any company, including SWIFT, will hire you.

Due to insurance requirements, Wreckless Ops is a deal killer for most companies; their insurance providers simply will not allow them to hire you.

Hang tough, & keep your nose clean, & learn from your errors. 18 mos. will pass, as it always does, then you should be able to get a fresh start.

    Good Luck!!

Thats correct, I should have stated that with a RECENT wreckless they wont take him. BTW, everyone bitches about WalMart, but I'd take a WalMart load over a Family Dollar load anyday. I hate those people.
