    Default Need a little help

I have been reading some of these post over the last couple of weeks, as I tried to find a company that would give me a job. It's not been that easy, the last time I drove was 11 yrs ago. (Flatbed 1yr / Dry Van 6mths the company is gone)
Just finished Swift's 3 day orientation, drug test, road test, and physical
NO problems. I don't like the fact that I was told I would need 2wks with a Mentor, but know it's six. The guy that gave me my road test said I would only need 2wks. Any advise for this soon to be Driver again.
Hey jackrabbit or anybody what about Westar
    GOD BLESS

I can't speak for Swift personally, but you don't have to bet the farm on it being 6 weeks. A lot of companies give quite a bit of leeway to their trainers in deciding when a trainee should be turned loose on his/her own.

Maverick generally requires 6 weeks with a trainer also, but I spent 8 days with mine straight out of school. Granted, I spent over 3 weeks in the barn learning securement. Driving the truck wasn't a huge issue for me and my trainer saw no point in keeping me with him any longer than necessary. Something tells me you would fall back into it even after 11 years. Kinda like the old cliche about riding a bike...

    Good luck.
