    Default Off The Beaten Path?

Well, I have been sitting at home, and going site to site, and dialing numbers like a switch board, company to company, compare-compare-compare..... Now, I took a roll at the dice yesterday, and went rooting around Delaware's labor board site, to see what they might be hiding as far as driving jobs, etc. Oh yeah, a little back ground on me. Eleven years experience, clean driving record, drug free, all that. Just quit the job I held for the last year, with a regional flatbed company, hauled mainly Verizon reels, supplies, all that. Quit really because I was tired of the way they didn't take care of the equipment, and the way they treated their good drivers, long story, but nothing the company did made any sense what so ever, just got tired of it. So, now here I am job hunting from my computer, and mind you, this is going to be my last truck driving job, and my master plan is to be finally done with it before the year is out, so I can go back to tinkering with motorcycles again. Anyway, back to my find in Delaware's listings in available jobs.....

I ran into these listings, no company name as of yet, Here is what I found so y'all have a better idea here. http://www.moneyformiles.com/

Now what puts me off center once I got to looking around, first off jobs they had listed around me were telling of pay that was a little un-heard of in my opinion. Granted I haven't called them yet, too busy gawking at what they have listed. For instance, They have listed in the minimum requirements you only need a CDL-A, yet they have a local job listed in my area, and it is saying the salary is $60,000 a year! Sounds too good to be true I know. Anyway, I came here to see if anyone has gone threw these people, and found a job, and what do you think of it. I'm going to wind up dropping them a call in the morning maybe, just to see what they are about, are they a temp agency of sorts, or what the deal is. I'm just weired out here of what they have posted with some job listings, just don't know what to make of these people, whoever they are.....

So how about it, anyone got info? :? [/url]

Looks like a Temporary Agency to me, the phone number sounds real familiar, like I have seen it in the local paper in San Antonio.

I do believe it is JB Hunt. I think it is a recruiters web site like ole Dances with Sheep has.

Yep, that is a JB Hunt recruiter.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

I just looked at the website. There is no items that would indicate it to be a JB website. I tried calling, and didn't get a message stating I was calling a jb hunt recruiter. Did anyone call and got confermation that this site does belongs to JB Hunt?

Because I don't want to bag on them trying to trick driver into calling them by having such a site. I don't put it past them. I believe it could be. i just don't want to bag on them without confermation.

Because only a lowdown, P.O.S company would try to recruit without attaching their name to it. They would use site like this so they can always say we never promised you that.

And I wouldn't want to call JB Hunt a P.O.S company without confermation that this site is theirs. I can think of other reasons, and the list will be long. I just didn't want to add this to it without confermation.

But it is possible it is. But I can't confirm.
Deja moo. It's when you feel you have heard this BS before.

Thanks y'all for the feedback. I haven't called the number since everyone hints it is infact ol' J.B.H. Only makes sence , because the terminals this unnamed entity lists, are the same locations J.B.H. has theirs......funny. I hear you too Cluggy, but there too, you're free to your opinion of them, I have mine too, but I am not allowed to type what I think about them here, in the wording I'd use anyway, lol. Be good or good at it folks, and thanks again, I'm out.

I would say they are just a placement agency. If you google their phone number a add comes up that was posted on America's Job Bank for Central Transport. The original job posting isn't there anymore but I would assume the phone number was in that add if google is still pulling it in a search.

I explained this in another thread. Yes, a lot of us JB recruiter pay for our own websites, including me. We are NOT allowed to use JBs logo or things of the such on our website. I know the recruiter quite well who owns that site. Like me, he is a very honest guy. If he was telling you about a certain dedicated job, you can be assured that he was being striaght with you.
And yes, if the dedicated job is the one Im thinking about, it does pay around 60 grand a year. However, it is filled. Just got the email about 20 minutes ago.
There are a couple of other dedicated jobs open in delaware. They are more like regional which get you home on the weekend. One pays about 55k a year and the other about 49k.

Why would an add for Central Transport come up when you google the phone number?

Probably because of the way Google advertising works. When someone searches any trucking company my site could come up. Depending which keywords I pay for. Do you want to hear the funniest story. There is a message board out there much like this one except it is very Anti-jbhunt. In fact the dude that started it started it for just that purpose, to try to hurt our business over here. (cluggy might like it there) The funny thing is because of the way Google advertising works, for quite a while my website was the advertisment on the top of that message board. What makes it even more funny is that I got quite a few hires from that ad.

Just another slam? Here is what is funny. I like it here. And i also realize that nothing I say will ever affect anyones decision to work at JB Hunt. No-body will ever say "I didn't go there because Cluggy told me not to." So why do I bash on JB? Because I can for the way i was treated, for one. Second, it releases stress. Does anyone really, and I do mean really care what i have to say? No.

    So there you are.

As far as another site? I did at one time check others out. Every one that I checked out bashes on JB a whole lot than me....Do I need to catch up? No, I think every truck driving site bashes just about every big company out there, even some of the JB Hunt is home sites.

But I make a deal with ya'll. Someone else takes over bashing JB, and I'll take a break.
