It's already been suggested here, but I have a friend in Jasper, AL (not far outta Birmingham). He runs the SE region for Arnold and he really enjoys it. He doesn't get as many miles as some of the other people on here, but he is home every single weekend. He's been adamant about that and so far (he's been with them since last September) they've accomodated him. He tells me that he generally grosses 800-850 per week during the 5-5 1/2 days he is out. His loads are no touch and approx. 70-80% drop and hook.

If you're interested, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the name and number of the recruiter he hooked me up with at Arnold. I felt like the guy was the straightest shooter I every dealt with in a recruiter. He drove for Arnold and was forced off the road for a while due to an injury. Instead of trying get by on worker's comp, they offered him a temporary position in recruiting and he took it. I never felt like the guy was misleading me and he was very honest even with the tough questions that recruiters generally try to avoid answering. I chose to go with a company that gets me home even more often, but if I were pulling a van OTR, I would definitely be with Arnold right now.

    Good luck.
