Default I vote for no more diaries

Why do we continue to post to some of these diaries? Someone sharing some information about their experiences with a specific trucking company is one thing, but why do we need to hear daily that someone picked up here must deliver here and will reload at this place? Isn't that what we all do everyday? A funny story once in a while would be enjoyable reading, but these threads that chronicle months and months of the same thing we do everyday is boring.

If you do not want to read it, then do not click on it.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Some people enjoy them and some people don't. If it's not your cup of tea, move on to the next one.

Of course, I want to hear the story on how Rev drove his truck through the wall of someone's home. That is a Graebel truck, isn't it? Come on, fess up. :P

I vote that the moderators create a new forum simply called "diaries", i enjoy reading them if you created a "diaries" forum that would be the place to put em

I am sure there are many people that have zero desire to read about anyone elses jouneys. No problem, like Uturn said....just don't click on it. I for one enjoy reading some of them. I too will be posting a "diary" of sort here shortly about my transition from military life to becoming a driver. I will be posting it with two motives in mind......

    1) I know there are many out there like myself that enjoy reading about someone’s daily life on the road. It’s almost like we’re living vicariously through the writer.
    2) Maybe it will provide some helpful information to those that are thinking about getting into the industry or at least lessen the anxiety about making the plunge.

It's a photoshop. A convincing one at that, if I do say so myself.

I've seen that pic before, but it's been a while and I thought it was a dump truck that went through the wall. I remember it was a Werner truck pick that went through some downtown storefront and that pic made the rounds.

I like the diaries if the Mods want to put them in a forum of their own that's fine but don't quit posting them. If you don't want to read them don't click on it.

Kona had a good one when he was with Gordon with some nice pics as well. I've read most of Samael9 Swift one as well.

It does help prospective drivers though with info and facts they may not get from a recruiter such as actual miles and running areas. Unless you can believe everything a recruiter tells you.

The big diary blogs help those guys get the big post numbers. Ya(one post), I agree(one post), see ya later(one post), don't know(one post) etc.
Chrome might not get you home but it might get ya laid (over polishing in a parking lot). lol

A lot of these diaries are "newbie" diaries. What you and I may call everyday boring stuff is a new adventure to a new driver.

When I made the plunge to become a newbie OTR driver, I recorded my training experience as well as my trainer/trainee experience. I enjoyed the writing process. I hoped that others might enjoy it as well. Heck, if it influenced at least one person towards/away from an OTR career...bonus.

In it's own forum or where ever keep them, they are very informational, and I too like many enjoy reading them. If you do not, then move on, you do not have to read everything on here, nobody is twisting your arm and making you to.

I'm getting sick of reading posts about flatbeds, reefers, HHG, tankers, doubles, triples, quadruples, sextuplets, and JB Hunt, so let's ban those posts and clean up this board!

If we ban everything that bores somebody to tears, then there will be no more board, and we can all get more done.
