    Default Schneider tankers

Does anybody out there work for or have info on what it is like to driver tankers for Schneider?

I graduated from driving school many years ago but went straight into the military.
I am thinking about tankers instead of dry or refers.
    What do think?
Thanks for helping out the new people - really gives the Trucking profession and professional in it a god name.

I don't drive for Schneider....I drive for Superior Carriers (Tankers/Chemical).... and while I haven't driven for Schneider.... my experience has been that their tank division is very good, and their drivers I have spoken to have been pretty happy on the whole..... So, I would have to say that "you could do far worse" than Schneider.....

You might want to search this site....and you may find other information that comes directly from Schneider drivers.... and there is always http://www.pumpkindrivers.com (? right url ?)

Since you don't have recent schooling...they will probably want you to reschool...but then they have it in house 8)

As long as you can handle the surge, and you can fix it in your mind... "that its not all about the miles"....then you will do fine.

Cyanide's thread about Tanker Information can give you up to date info on pay scales, etc, and maybe some other comments regarding SNIB.

Remember: The "truth WILL set you free"! If it doesn't "set you free"....."it will trap you in the cesspool of your own design".

They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.

While I was at a training session for my company I hung out one evening BSing with some guys from around the western US. One of the guys from Colorado yanked a tank for Pumpkin for 4 years.

He was happy, equipment was good 425hp motors w/ 10 speeds. His only complaint was that sometimes when it was slow he would sit a lot and have a weak paycheck for the week.
