    Default Bennett

    Do yall know of Bennett(spelling) out of Goargah :P Anyhoo, my buddy who was leased to Westar, is no longer leased to Westar. In fact, on this last Friday, Westar cut off all owner opperators. Hopefully, nothing good will happen to the company. Such a good, strong, brave company Never gave them a warning, or nothing. My buddy told me that they called him on Friday morning, and his driver was in Utah, that after he gets unloaded, that will be the last load. :shock: Anyway, he has been looking at some different companies. He owns his truck/trailer(flat). He was looking into Bennett. Anyone know of this company?

    Yeah, it's probably a good thing that your husband didn't get hired on there. I dont see Westar being around much longer. My buddy was there 5 years. He went through an ugly divorce, and then he hired his driver he has now, and then he leased his truck to Westar. Never really had any major trouble. Just got the rug pulled out from underneath him. Yeah, he's pretty upset about it. He is looking around to see what options they have.

    I have heard of bennett, I dont know much but a buddy of mine is leased on there. The last I knew he loved it there and wasnt looking to go anywhere for a long time. Payed within 24 hours of scanning ppw good high paying freight and some warehouses that he picked up freight at. He was really happy there. Maybe give em a call and see what they can do. He likes em better than going to landstar. From what I understand you pick your loads at bennett

    If you are in the Big D area, tell your Buddy to get in touch with Lone Star..a much better outfit, and they treat their operators far better than Bennett does. Talked with a former Bennett O/O 2 weeks ago, lost his RGN and 03 Pete, due to slow pay, and short checks. Said he is still waiting for his last 3 settlements from Bennett...but not holding his breath.

    That driver I talked with, was driving a Dana truck when I met him..was in the process of signing on with a flatbed outfit in Brownsville.

    He didn't have anything good to say about Bennett...but You also need to remember..all I got from him, was HIS side of the story.

    I would still pick Lonestar Transportation over Bennett ...just because it is a Texas based O/O company...especially if I lived in Dallas area.

    Well, thanks guys for writing. He is gonna sign on today. He didnt tell me until last night, but a friend of his has his truck leased to Bennett. That is how he knew about the company. He told me that he talked to his friend, but forgot to mention that he worked for Bennett. He was telling me that they are like, Landstar. He told me that he's gonna give it a shot, and see how it works out. Thanks yall.
