C'mon Bob you've been around here long enough to know a lease is not a good deal.
Don't do it , save and buy your own truck.

awww. we both know there are some lease/purchase plans thet are real. most are a rip off. 99% is probably close. but, there are some that are real. yea, i know i am probably getting into a sh#t storm. their walk away policy does seem good. i also know that they have several drivers o/o who bought their trucks from them after 3 year purchase plan. i also know that for the next 3 years i will be lucky to make what a company driver makes. but, i wish some of you exp o/o and co drivers check out their plan then give me feed back. $1 buyout. i also know what i lose when /if i walkaway from plan. still tucumcari new mexico seems to be out of just about everyones hiring area. hometime has always been loose, just get me home every 4-12 weeks or so. sure wish someone with arrow exp would contact me.

Chopper Bob, I am probably a bad example to the fact of the lease deal at arrow. Ive been in my truck for a week today and well Ive been broke down since Thursday. After buying the equipment I needed and paying insurance My first check a little under 5.00. no big deal to me about the first check we are prepared. Being broke down since thursday when the rearend basically blew up.... not so good. I am also up 250 miles from nowheresville. BE PREPARED FOR THIS!!!!!!
overall the payments tootie sent you are pretty good. My truck is a 05 freight with a c-15 cat and it only runs 357 a week but maint payments are .12cpm. My miles run to break even are a little lower this way but you see the sit. im in now. Ive heard all kinds of horror stories around here about the lease, none have proof on them but some dont sound too far fetched.

Basically as tootie told you this aint for everyone, Make sure you got a credit card to pay for a motel if you break down and enough to live on for a month before doing it. Maybe try company first to make sure youll like it and go from there. Wish thats what I did but, We only live once right?
    On the road again Finally!!!!!

I drove and trained for Arrow and also knew people that HAD their own trucks. Matt is a crook and a liar. I was thinking about doing it, but by the time you have everything paid for, you make less money than a company driver. Their are no benefits to this lease/purchase program. The only difference between you and a company driver is that you can set your truck to go 75mph. Lease/purchase operators were getting no more miles than I was when I was a solo driver. I was averaging 3300 miles per week for quite a while, then when I went and became a trainer my miles slipped a little bit. Furthermore, you don't get paid detention pay unless the customer pays Arrow, and then they decide how much they think you should get. So I would approach the lease program with a lot of caution. Arrow is a decent company, but only on the company driver side.
I would rather fail at something that will ultimately succeed rather than succeed at something that will ultimately fail.

yeah, sadly lease operators end up making less than company drivers. but, after completeing the lease i will have something. my expenses are real low. i have had a few companies that i have started and ran before. i understand the sacrificies that have to be made. arrow seems to have 1 of the few real fair lease deals in this industry.

I happen to disagree that it is "one of the real fair lease deals..." If I were you I would do what a previous poster said. I would save up some money for a down payment on a truck and buy my own. You can probably get a cheaper payment doing it that way as opposed to doing it with Arrow. The weekly truck payment for Arrow seems high to me.
