    http://www.smithtransport.com/

They got petes and, if you'll notice, they have the superwide tires on the drive positions. Superwides are smoother than duals don't you know?
So, maybe we should keep it simple; Companies like Smith Transport are the type of companies that i'm looking for.

Not what i refer to as "McDonalds" or "Wal-Mart" companies----i.e., Schneider, JB hunt, wiener. Although i'm not ruling them out completely.
You do know they have Freightliners with 70" condos don't you.

I think you also ought to think about the types of loads you're willing to carry.

Heavy loads really are a pain. It really breaks the rhythm to have to downshift and lean all the way up to turn on the 4 ways.

I recommend you only accept loads in the 20 - 25,000 pound range. Enough to speed up on the downhill without slowing you down uphill.

I think you're on to something here.

Obviously i want the lighter loads. Another good reason for light loads is you won't have to waste any time scaling out. Which means no more dicking around with tandems and sliding the fifth wheel etc.

But i'm not too picky on weight.

ABF? (not sure the intitals for that company)

Ah the famous UPS line haul division. (interesting choice, I think you need to have some serious experience before they will hire you into that. But hey if you go into it best of luck to you =).

How did you guys miss this one?
If you can't shift it smoothly, you shouldn't be driving it.

OMG, is this guy (Lewis Friend) a trip?!! How do you have time to run miles out the ***** when all you do is post your silly "wish list". Oh, I think you forgot to add:
"#325) Big truck must have "auto pilot" and not cruise control. Cruise control is for those who really care where they are going...I for one do not as long as I get miles out the *****....That way I don't have to ever leave my nice Big Truck or even drive it!!! Ha you all suck and are nobodies!!!! cuz I got Auto Pilot"

    Good Lord, Col. Toon!!

Might as well demand a butler and a chauffer to go along with everything else.......As if this "Dream Company" would even hire you to begin with!!

I think that "Bandit's Cousin" summed it up best when he said that he owns the truck that you only dream about, but you'll never be able to drive.
