    Default requirement for a decent company

    hey everybody i'm looking for a small to medium company with the following criteria
    Minimum Experience: driving school training Accredited

    starting pay: 30-35 CPM

    paid oreintation : 3-4wk

    endoresments : hazmat , tanker

    miles per week : 2000-2500

    2 days off

    could someone also expplain to me what LTL means as well. From what i hear It sounds as though something i would be interested in because i would like to attend college while drivingif at all possible .

    LTL stands for less than truckload. It means that you will have multiple pickups for each load you haul. LTL can be local or it can be OTR.
    Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

    I like your approach.

    But to clarify:

    1)30-35 isn't bad----providing you can get the miles. (also see #4 below)

    2)Orientation don't last that long, kiddo. Do you mean paid training?

    3)Are you saying you want to drive Hazmat tankers, or are you saying you have these endorsments?

    4)Why just 2000-2500? You can and should do at least 2800-2900ish, really 3000 per week.

    5) Two days per week or month?
