    Default Southern Michigan Work

I currently work for Falcon Transport, straight out of school. I have nothing on my license as far as tickets go. I have about six months experience. I like my weekend hometime with Falcon, but my driver manager left and now its hard to get the miles. I was wondering if anyone knew of any decent companies out there. I dont mind going out on the road during the week, but I like my home time. I know I am not going to be rich, but family time is important too. I have applied at Knight Transportation, haven't heard anything yet. Thank you in advance for any replies.

where are you located in southern michigan. with 6 months you could get on with centril transport. lansing, detroit, and in sturgis michgan, also known as PRO logistics. if your in SW Michigan look into Pigeon River Transport out of White Pigeon or P&P out of constantine michigan. i woudl suggest P&P over anything i kwno one of there drivers whos been there for over 20 years and loves it. very low tuen over and most guys are there 7 plus years before leaving.

Central Transport and Pro Logistics are sister companies with different operations so you'll have to check with both. And yes CT would probably hire you with 6 months. You'd be home everyday. There's better LTL companies but it will get you more experience and it cant be worse than OTR for Falcon. BTW I know Falcon down this way has alot of dedicated auto freight where you're home daily. Dont they have that available to you?

bcbasher I was just in Battle Creek last week. We have a terminal on Columbia. I have a cousin that lives there too but I dont know exactly where.

You could also look into Stone Transportation out of the lower Michigan area. They transport sand, gravel and such.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.

hahaha yeah the roads are a little rough. next time grab the hammer lane and it will be a lot better. from the 108 to the 100 in both directions is hell around here. but grab the hammer lane and it will save your kidneys for sure.
