Default KLLM / Texas Star Express?

Hey all... I was wondering if y'all could help me out. I did a search but didn't really find anything of note. Anyone here drive for or know someone that drives for either KLLM or Texas Express? I've got two years OTR experience, but I'm looking for something that would get me home most weekends or so to the Dallas area.

thanks for any insights you might have!

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Texas Express is for drivers who are O/O's.

You might Check with Westar out of Wichita Falls. Actually located in Jolly, right on US 287. I started with them just this week, will hit the road in the AM for a short run and then head out Monday AM for the week. Everyone I talk to there says that they are home about 90% of the weekends. Westar tries to hire their drivers on their main routes which include DFW metroplex. Give them a call at 940-716-9512. IF you do happen to go to work there, make sure you tell them driver # 785 refered you. You get a $500.00 sign on bonus, $250 at completion of orientation and $250 after 6 months, and if you mention my referal, I get the same.

    See you on the Road

You are sure right about that!!!

BTW, have you heard something about an NFL expansion team called "The Interstates" ??

Seems as if I heard something about a score on the radio:

    Interstate: 35
    Dallas Cowboys: 6

Good one! Any joke about the Cowboys is a good one in my book. I hate those "Boys." :x I'm a die hard KC Chiefs fan myself. Oh yeah, gotta love those UT Longhorns!

Forgot to mention, Westar is a flatbed only company, hauls Pipe, Sheetrock as their main items.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Was hoping more for a reefer or van company, but I can do flatbed. How have your miles been? I know you said you just started with them, but how's it looking so far?

*scratches head* well... I do find it somewhat interesting that both Texas Express and KLLM fly low under the radar around here. I'm not quite sure if that's a good or a bad thing to be honest...

PS - I hate the Cowboys too

For the Dallas area (in Lancaster, I35E Exit 417) your best bet for a local type/home every weekend company will definitely be CFI. We have a terminal in Lancaster that has day cab Kenworths to deliver local frieght, plus we are always passing through Texas from Dallas to Laredo. It would be easy for you to get home regularly. Please call 'em at 1-800-234-3748.
