Just Google Irag driving jobs. Listened to Sirius Satellite Radio a while back. On the "Road Dog Channel" they had several drivers who have been to Iraq. Sure the money is OK, BUT you drive junk and when the "**** hits the fan" the soldiers protect themselves first, not civilian contractors. You are not allowed to carry weapons, the heat and living conditions are really bad. A LOT of civilian drivers have been abducted and killed..You should look beyond the money, your life expectancy is not that great there. Will and try and post a link. KBR basically offers anyone a job who applies. They are pretty desperate.

Before you decide to go to Iraq, goggle for "civilian contractor deaths in Iraq"..lots to read

    Why go there?

I have been to a place where they don't want your help and you can't tell the friendlies from the enemy.

Good Luck to you; but you should really consider staying out of there for health reasons. Not a good thing to lose your head over an issue your not a party to.

As far as weapons....a few of the KBR drivers I have talked to that have just got back have told me that even though carrying weapons was "against the rules" many of them carried them anyway without getting in trouble. Dont know if thats true or not, but thats what they told me.

So if you think the "big man" is about to pick your "number" save the time and off yourself.....just kidding. If this is what you really want to do then go for it but it seems a bit drastic just for a "green card", that green card will be worthless to a dead person.....my 2 cents....bd

You may want to send Yoopr a PM and ask him about driving a tanker in Iraq. I'm quite sure he can advise you on whether or, not it would be wise for you to seek employment with KBR...
Why is it when I press one for ENGLISH I still can't understand the person on the other end???

Reason I ask is because you stated your not scared of death.
Have you ever FACED death? I have... When I was a prison guard I was stabbed in the heart, and died on the table. I was dead for 4 minutes, before I was brought back. What I felt and saw during that 4 minutes, made me not scared of death any more, BUT.... I would not throw my life away just because I'm not scared. Your to young to toss it all away. Money and a green card is not worth facing death. Live your life and have fun going it. Now if you were a lot older, no family, and was looking for a way out. I say more power to ya. You lived, been there done that and looking for that last thing to do, but not at your age.

Just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth.

The term "wise" may not be applicable here. If he wants to do it , more power to him.
