    Default Swift Training

Can someone that works for Swift explain the payment procedures if going through one of their schools. Is there any out-of-pocket expense when you go through their school, or is the payback purely working out the life of the contract? Their website says after 13 months you don't owe them anything, but then says you need to stay with them for 26 months. It's a little confusing.

Does sound confusing, you might want to ask the recruiter that.

Like my post said, was asking for some input from anyone that works for Swift and went through their school. I'd like some feedback from anyone that has gone this route and how they felt about it. I'm asking about the financing and payment of school, not the training itself.

    As I understand it:

For the first 13 months $37.50 is taken out of each paycheck to pay for your schooling.

After 13 months the debt is paid, and Swift then pays you an extra $37.50 a paycheck for the next 13 months till you have back what you paid in.

Your correct they take what they give then give it back I think they hope that it will come out of your pocket and then you will move on to greener pastures. At least how it worked for me. They are a good training company and a good way to pay your dues in the industry. If you want miles you have to scream for them but they eventually get you there.

The deal is if you stay with them for 13 months, you no longer owe them any money. If you do the math you’ll realize that after the 13th month you still have a balance due. The payments you’ve made for 13 months only cover half of the costs they "paid" to help you get your CDL. If you stay with them for the 26 months, they will give you back what you paid them during that first 13 months.

In Short: 13 months = considered paid off
    26 months = free

the contract reads that they take 75.00 a week out of you check that's 300 a month but then they will put 37.50 back in each check. you work for them 13 months and its paid but you stay for 26 months and they say its free i have a copy of the contract with me since i just finished there school Nov 28 and there orientation DEC 11
