Has anyone ever had any luck with a lease purchase program.
Has anyone ever had any luck with a lease purchase program.
If you like paying your very hard earned money to deliver someone elses freight in a truck you will never own then yes, you can have lots of luck because thats what will happen every time.
To put this in perspective, If you were to work at Burger King, would you want to lease the grille that you cooked on to help the owner pay for it??
Food has replaced sex in my life. Now I can't even get in my own pants....
NEVER lease from the same person who controls your paycheck. That's called "sharecropping".

From what i've read and seen in real life, lots of people have luck with leasing... unfortunately it all seems to be bad luck![]()
Do you shop for TV's, video games, and other appliances at the Rent-A-Center down in the hood? Do you cash your pay-checks at the liquor store? Do you plunk down a wad of food stamps at Vons or Piggly Wiggly for your groceries? Do you call up Miss Cleo or Dionne Warwick for personal/investement advice? Do you consider Meister Brau, Thunderbird, or Wild Irish Rose to be quality alchoholic beverages? Do you think Powerball is your 401K?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above questionaires, then leasing a truck is for you!

I don't agree with the guys who say you won't ever own a lease purchase truck. My husband has a lease-purchase with May Trucking, he knows the price and it will be paid off in 4 years or less if he adds to the monthly payment. No down, good price, and he is making more than he did as a company driver, with the write offs as an added incentive. So, for some it works, others no. Go figure.

I don't want to rain on your parade, Iceman's wife, but these often start out fine. Unfortunately, the closer it gets to owning the more difficulty most seem to experience in making enough money to make the payments, pay all expenses and make a decent living. Most of the information we have discussed has come from those who have experienced it first hand. I hope things work out with your husband.
Actually OOIDA did a topic on lease purchase on XM and they said that there are drivers making good money with some companies. They keep track of complaints against companies and can tell you who to stay away from or who is good. The best lease purchase is leasing from the dealer and not from the company controlling your paycheck.
Lease payments are tax deductable but you can't claim depreciation.
If you finance you can depreciate but the payments aren't deductable.
An accountant can give you the full details.

You are a rumor, recognizable only as deja vu, and dismissed just as quickly. You don't exist. You were never even born. Anonymity is your name, silence is your native tongue. You are no longer part of the system. You are above the system, over it, beyond it. We are "them." We are "they." We are the Men in Black.
