    Default Flatbed Fred

Figured I would post here commending Fred on his efforts to educate many of us newbies. I personnally have used Fred's advice and encounters to make decisions for myself, and I know he is helped many others here to do the same. I just want to say "Thanks" Fred for devoting so much time to your website and also helping so much here at CAD. It has definately given me a good perspective as to what I might encounter when I decide to go train and apply for TMC. Keep it up Fred, your doing a damn good job! 8) 8) 8)

Thanks so much. It's nice to be appreciated. It's truly been my PLEASURE helping those out there with questions.
Way back when I first started my website, it's purpose was to illustrate what I was doing, as I did it, from day one so that other perspective drivers might have someplace to turn to see "what it's like". When looking for a trucking job, I had no such place to turn to when I was a newbie and that was the driving force behind "Flatbed Fred". I wanted others to be able to see what I did and was doing almost "real time". I thought this better than just reading about a company from their website.
My experiences thus far with TMC have been fantastic. Yes I've had my "bad days" ((weeks? hehehe)) but in the end, things ALWAYS worked out for the better. TMC is the first job I have really given my 100% effort to and I am happy to say, they've given back just as much. More than ever I truly believe a job is what you make it. I simply refused to fail in this particular endeavor and am thus enjoying the benefits of my hard work. I am treated well by EVERYONE at TMC and can't point to any one person and say "I really hate that so-and-so".
At TMC I have a job to do. Some days it's all peaches and cream and some days it will kick your *****. My success comes from looking beyond the bad days and finding a better one just around the next bend in the road. This attitude was first illustrated to me by my trainer, Sam Galarza. No matter HOW bad it got, or how lousy a load, or how arrogant a shipper was, Sam just pushed on with a smile and a SUPER positive attitude. Even if we were late or tired, he'd stop to help a fellow flatbedder secure or tarp their load. ALWAYS. You think I'm positive???? HA HA HA Sam's got me beat by a mile!!!

So thanks to all of you who have let me help them and to those that who have helped me.
Thanks also to TMC for giving me a job I can truly say, "Feels like HOME".

God Bless ALL the drivers out there. Be safe, be courteous and be professional and never forget that without us, there wouldn't be much more.
